Pentagon UFO footage latest – Report could come out any day now after leak ‘did not rule out objects are aliens’

- When will the Pentagon’s UFO report be released?
- What was the ‘UFO’ sighting in New Jersey?
- Where have UFOs been spotted?

NASA are investigating UFOs as a bombshell US intelligence report is set to not rule out aliens, administrator Bill Nelson said.

Space chief Nelson admitted the agency is probing the phenomena after a string of strange encounters between unusual objects and the US military pilots.

US intelligence officials have been ordered to compile a dossier on UFOs for Congress after a flurry of videos filmed by US Navy and Air Force personnel were leaked - and the report is due for release this month.

The dossier reportedly will say the Pentagon cannot explain some 120 sightings made by US Navy personnel over the past two decades - but it will conclude they are not known tech.

Senior officials briefed on the findings said that because the report is inconclusive, the government could not definitively rule out the alien spacecraft theories.

  • WHAT AS OBAMA SAID ABOUT UFOS?

Weeks earlier, Obama told The Late Late Show with James Corden the US was monitoring UFO sightings.

"Well, when it comes to aliens, there are some things I can just can't tell you on air," Obama said.

"What is true, and I'm actually being serious here, is that there is footage and records of objects in the skies that we don't know exactly what they are.

"We can't explain how they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern."

  • CHINA HAS SET UP SIMILAR TASK FORCE TO THE US

Mr Elizondo also spoke about his hopes for international cooperation on this issue - including with the US's traditional adversaries, Russia and China.

He said it is known that China have set a similar UAP task force to what has been seen in the US.

And the former official said it is believed China may attempt to bring a conversation about UFOs to the United Nations.

"I would love nothing more than an opportunity to work with our adversaries, our conventional adversaries--Russia, China, let’s get everybody to the table," he said.

"I believe this is a topic that involves all of humanity. I think it affects all of us equally and yet differently, depending on our philosophical, sociological and theological belief systems."

However, he admitted he had to be "realistic" and it would take a lot for the US to place its trust in China and Russia on such an important issue.

  • WHEN DID PROJECT BLUE BOOK END?

US intelligence services officially closed the book on the phenomena in 1969 at the conclusion Project Blue Book - which stated there was nothing to see regarding UFOs.

However, in the last three years there has been an abrupt turnaround as the Pentagon took the unprecedented step of confirming three stunning leaked UFO videos filmed by the US Navy.

Numerous snippets of footage continue to emerge which is being probed the UAP Task Force ahead of the release of the report this month.

And it was confirmed over the weekend that now even NASA are probing the phenomena, with the agency's administrator Bill Nelson confessing they don't have an answer for UFOs.

  • WHO IS LUIS ELIZONDO?

Luis Elizondo headed up The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) what was formed in 2007 before being dissolved in 2012.

Christopher “Kit” Green, a neuroscientist who worked on a paper with AATIP, told Popular Mechanics: "It is my understanding this program was a UFO study that outwardly was not supposed to look like it had anything to do with UFOs."

The programme was disclosed to the public for the first time in 2017 in a report by The New York Times.

Mr Elizondo was a former senior member of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (OUSDI).

He was recently described by Reid as having a "leadership role" in AATIP, but Pentagon officials contradicted him by claiming he had "no assigned responsibilities".

Reid said: "Mr Elizondo is a former intelligence officer who has spent his career working tirelessly in the shadows on sensitive national security matters, including investigating UAPs as the head of AATIP.

    "He performed these duties admirably".

  • WHAT IS AATIP?

Luis Elizondo headed up The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) what was formed in 2007 before being dissolved in 2012.

AATIP was set up after pressure from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid with a budget of $22million to investigate UFOs and UAPs.

It was officially unclassified, but also unpublicized as the secretive programme quietly got on with its work.

The programme published 38 papers which cover advanced, exotic and theoretical aerospace topics.

  • OFFICIAL SAYS UFO TECHNOLOGY WOULD BE 1,000 AHEAD OF HUMAN CAPABILITIES

Mr Elizondo claimed in the US that UFOs have disabled nuclear capabilities, while he has heard reports that in other nations that nuclear technology has been switched on.

And he characterised the technology being witnessed as "something that could be anywhere between 50 and 1,000 years ahead" of mankind's own capabilities.

He said: "I think it’s when you’re looking at the observations and these things, how they can outperform frankly anything that we have in our inventory and we’re pretty certain anything that our foreign adversaries have in their inventory, then, yes, obviously as human beings we tend to go down that rabbit hole of speculation."

  • PENTAGON EMPLOYEE RESIGNED TO BRING LIGHT TO UFOS

Mr Elizondo, a former intelligence officer, was speaking at an event hosted by the Washington Post as anticipation mounts over an upcoming UFO report set for release in the US.

He resigned his post at the Pentagon as he sought to bring the discussion about the UFOs - now more commonly referred to as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) - into the mainstream, describing them as a "national security issue".

Luis Elizondo, who headed up the secretive Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), said the strange phenomena appear to be taking an intense interest in man's nuclear weapons, nuclear power stations and nuclear-powered warships.

  • UFOS COULD INTERFERE WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS

Luis Elizondo, who headed up the secretive Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), said the strange phenomena appear to be taking an intense interest in man's nuclear weapons, nuclear power stations and nuclear-powered warships.

And he said one of the main concerns is the link between whatever is appearing in the sky and nukes - with some of the most high profile encounters involving the US's nuclear powered aircraft carriers, such as USS Nimitz.

"That is one of the concerns we have from a national security perspective, that there does seem to be some sort of congruency or some sort of intersection between these UAP or UFO sightings and our nuclear technology with nuclear propulsion, nuclear power generation, or nuclear weapons systems," he said.

"Furthermore, those same observations have been seen overseas in other countries. They too have had the same incidents. So that tells us this is a global issue."

Mr Elizondo claimed in the US that UFOs have disabled nuclear capabilities, while he has heard reports that in other nations that nuclear technology has been switched on.

  • BRYSON DECHAMBEAU RECOUNTS ENCOUNTER WITH UFOS

The 28-year-old former physics student is already hugely keen into his science and previously spoke about "inter-dimensional travel."

And he claims he saw three apparent UFOs from his backyard in Dallas last year.

Speaking during the PGA Championship on the SiriusXM PGA Tour radio, he revealed: "In Dallas, Texas, in my backyard, I was looking outside, looking up in the sky and Adam (Hurley, DeChambeau’s friend) was like, ‘what the heck is that?!'

"We were out there thinking, ‘What the heck is this? They were floating, we thought ‘oh, it’s got to be an air balloon.’

"They were all moving in a triangle shape.

We were out there for literally just under an hour thinking, ‘What the heck is this?’

“They kept floating to the right, and then all of a sudden one didn’t move and the other two moved away and they went further and further to the right… from that, about 15 minutes in, 20 minutes in they started moving back the other way."

  • CHRIS SMALLING'S WIFE DISPELS RUMORS THAT UFO SIGHTING WAS A DRONE

Before her followers could comment that it could have been a drone, Sam added: "For the record it was 100 billion % NOT a drone.

"It was massive and very sophisticated with faint lights all around the edge.

"It was also an odd shape not like that of a drone. Crazy I know. Also wasn't a plane or anything like that. It was silent. Even drones are loud."

And it appears to be memorable for more reasons than one.

That is because the Roma centre-back and ex-page three wife Sam Cooke were left 'gobsmacked' by their sighting... after reassuring fans they weren't on magic mushrooms.

Sam revealed their experience on Instagram that started: "'Ok so I promise we weren't on magic mushrooms or anything but me and @smalling saw the craziest UFO last night!

  • CHRIS SMALLING AND WIFE SAW UFO ON HOLIDAY

Former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling and his wife are convinced they spotted a UFO in Jamaica.

The loved-up pair are currently on holiday on the Caribbean island while they enjoy the off-season.

Sam revealed their experience on Instagram that started: "'Ok so I promise we weren't on magic mushrooms or anything but me and @smalling saw the craziest UFO last night!

"Not like a quick few seconds sighting of something high in the sky that could have enough a plane!

"It flew down low past us and then turned and shot back high up in the sky where it stayed for an hour (maybe longer but we had to leave) it was too small to get on film when it stayed stationed in the sky although Chris could see it rotating with lights flashing all around it, (I could only see the outer lights at this point as my eyes aren't as good).

"We could have got it on camera when it was flying by us as it was clear to see but we were both too gobsmacked to get our cameras out.

"Plus we didn't want to look away and miss whatever it was.

"It looked massive. It didn't look like your typical ufo sightings. It was totally silent."

  • UFOS COULD BE COMING FROM UNDER THE SEA

Gary Heseltine, the vice president of UFO-tracking group International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research said videos showing encounters between the US Navy and UFOs along with a Pentagon investigation are game changers that pave the way to finally explain the unexplained.

"UFOs are often seen coming in and out of water so suspect that in our deepest oceans and trenches we may well have alien bases," he told The Sun Online.

"That sounds crazy but if you think about it we only know 5 per cent of ocean, we know more about the surface of the moon or Mars than our own oceans - so that would seem to me why UFOs are seen regularly coming in and out of water."

  • FORMER PENTAGON OFFICIAL DISPELS THEORY THAT RUSSIA OR CHINA ARE BEHIND THE UFOS

Former Pentagon official Lue Elizondo said the military has been seeing mysterious "tic-tac" UFOs since 1950, possibly even earlier.

Elizondo poured cold water on the theory Russia or China could be behind the aerial phenomenons.

He said Russia had shared a lot of its UFO information with the US following the fall of the Berlin Wall while China, Lue said, was behind the curve on technology in comparison to the US and unlikely to have developed any such aircraft.

"We’re talking about a country that somehow for 70 years has kept this technology that was at least 1000 years ahead of us – kept it secret, was able to employ it against us all the way back to 1950," he said of the possibility.

  • FORMER PENTAGON OFFICIAL SAYS UFOS HAVE BEEN SPOTTED SINCE BEFORE 1950

Former Pentagon official Lue Elizondo said the military has been seeing mysterious "tic-tac" UFOs since 1950, possibly even earlier.

Elizondo said senior military personnel and scientists have spotted UFOs over US military facilities on multiple occasions.

"The US government has finally admitted that this is not some sore of secret US technology," he said. "But now, there is some wiggle room to say, 'Well maybe it is some foreign adversarial technology.'"

  • WHEN WILL FINDINGS BE RELEASED TO CONGRESS?

An unclassified version of the findings is set to be released to Congress by June 25.

The final report, however, will still include one classified annex, according to the Times.

Officials said that the annex will not contain any evidence of alien activity, but the fact that it must remain classified will likely fuel increased speculation.

  • SOME OFFICIALS BELIEVE AERIAL PHENOMENA COULD COME FROM RIVAL POWERS

Officials believe that some of the aerial phenomena could have come from a rival power such as Russia or China amid fears that Moscow may have been experimenting with hypersonic technology.

Senior officials briefed on the findings said that because the report is inconclusive, the government could not definitively rule out the alien spacecraft theories.

  • THE NAVY HAS HAD OVER 120 UFO SIGHTINGS IN THE PAST 20 YEARS

A bombshell Pentagon report - which is yet to be released to the public - is tipped to confirm the vast majority of the 120 sightings made by US Navy personnel over the past two decades were not American military or other government technology.

Those findings - due to be presented publicly to Congress later this month - eliminate the possibility that the Navy pilots may have seen some form of secret government aircraft, the New York Times reports.

  • BILL CLINTON SPEAKS OUT ON ALIEN LIFE

Appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Clinton dropped his biggest hint yet.

Probed on whether UFOs were real, the former politician said the US government has never proved their existence but that "there are things flying around up there that we haven't fully identified yet".

"Keep in mind there are billions of galaxies in an ever-expanding universe," Clinton added.

"I mean, you can't even get your mind around the sheer number of things that are out there. No one knows, but I think the probability is that there is something you would call life somewhere else."

  • CONGRESS WILL GET THE PENTAGON REPORT BY THE END OF THE MONTH

US intelligence agencies will present the unclassified UAP report to Congress on June 29, within the 180-day deadline laid out legislation in effect from January 1.

The dossier is being prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the UAP Task Force, which was established last September to probe military encounters with UAPs.

Sources told ABC News the highly-anticipated report may not satisfy UFO aficionados because it might not contain any evidence calling the unidentified flying objects alien spacecraft.

  • REPUBLICAN SENATOR WARNS THAT UFOS SHOULD BE TAKEN 'SERIOUSLY'

Senator Marco Rubio has said UFOs need to be “seriously investigated” before the bombshell Pentagon report drops later this month.

“Men and women we have entrusted with the defense of our country are reporting encounters with unidentified aircraft with superior capabilities,” Rubio said in a statement.

“We cannot allow the stigma of UFOs to keep us from seriously investigating this. The forthcoming report is one step in that process, but it will not be the last.”

  • UFOS WILL BE THE 'NEW COLD WAR,' ONE EXPERT SAYS

Dr. David Clarke, who was a consultant for the release of the MOD’s UFO files at the National Archives between 2008-13, says a “new” Cold War is already underway thanks to UFOs.

“They [hypersonic drones and unmanned aerial vehicles] are exactly what a lot of these things that can’t be explained clearly are,” he told The Sun.

“There’s a new Cold War being fought undercover that’s not receiving a lot of attention. The Chinese and Russians and Americans have developed some incredible technology – almost sort of science-fiction-like.”

“We’re not talking about the fighter jets that used to dominate everything in the Cold War,” he added.

“The new Cold War is unmanned aerial vehicles.”

  • PENTAGON REPORT MAY BE INCONCLUSIVE

The dossier reportedly will say the Pentagon cannot explain some 120 sightings made by US Navy personnel over the last two decades.

However, it will also reportedly conclude that they are not known tech.

Senior officials briefed on the findings said that because the report is inconclusive, the government could not definitively rule out the alien spacecraft theories.

  • UFOS COULD LEAD TO NEW RELIGIONS, OBAMA SAID

Former President Barack Obama said he believes new religions could emerge if the Pentagon's UFO report confirms the existence of alien life.

Obama was questioned about whether he believes undeniable proof of aliens would change his politics during a podcast interview with The Ezra Klein show last week.

"New religions would pop up," the former president said should alien life be confirmed.

"But no doubt there would be immediate arguments about like, well, we need to spend a lot more money on weapons systems to defend ourselves."

  • OBAMA ASKED ABOUT UFOS WHEN HE WAS PRESIDENT

Former President Obama admitted that when he was inaugurated, he asked about the possibility of UFOs.

“Look, the truth is that when I came into office I asked," he told James Corden on The Late Late Show.

“I was like, 'All right, is there the lab somewhere where we're keeping the alien specimens and spaceships?'"

“They did a little bit of research…. and the answer was 'No,'' he said.

  • UFO SIGHTINGS CORRELATE WITH NUCLEAR DEVELOPMENT, EX-PENTAGON OFFICIAL SAYS

While Elizondo appeared to dismiss the theories that the UFOs are Chinese or Russian technology, he didn't suggest any other possible culprits.

However, he did say there was an increase in UFO sightings as the country developed its nuclear abilities.

"We began to see an increased uptick of what appeared to be some sort of reconnaissance or surveillance of our nuclear technology, our nuclear development – whether it's power or propulsion or weapons systems and related technology," he said.
