He was terrified when he found out that Mordecai was the man the king wanted honored. Soon the plan Haman had made to kill Mordecai, Esther and all the Jews was uncovered. Haman was arrested and hanged. Mordecai was honored by the king. The king declared a new decree protecting the Jews. Mordecai and Esther rejoiced.
