A conspiracy theorist has wildly claimed that scientists in Area 51 have been building an army of giant robots at the base.
Scott C Waring, who is known for making outlandish claims, said he came across the shocking discovery when he was scrolling on Google Earth.
In the video he posted on his YouTube channel UFO Sightings Daily, the self-proclaimed researcher said he found a 16-metre-tall robot lying on the ground at Area 51.
He zooms into the satellite picture taken in 2006 and says: "I can't believe it's real and it looks like a new technology that Area 51 was working on.
"What I see is what looks like a robot, a giant robot laying down on its back and there's another one over here."
He moves the cursor on the timeline and shows that the figure missing in 2002.
Scott then sets it to 2006 and pinpoints the arms and legs of the robot-like figure.
He says the figure stands about 16 metres tall (53ft) after measuring it from "top to bottom".
In his blog, the so-called truth-seeker wrote: "Now, perhaps some USAF soldier is playing around for years doing this, or perhaps Area 51 is experimenting with 16-meter tall robots that could one day be used in combat missions."
Viewers were fascinated by Scott's wild imaginations, with one writing: "They’re getting ready to fight the giants."
But many others were unsurprisingly left unconvinced. "A robot that is 16 meters or 50 feet tall would have more shadow on the ground. It looks legit like a pile of garbage and debris with a play of light on it," one said.
Another wrote: "Just shadows...but I want to believe it."
