One of the most iconic scenes of the film “Terminator Genisys” is during Sarah Connor’s flashback, the moment when the Guardian Terminator arrives in 1973 and pulls her younger self out of the water, saving her from a liquid metal certain death. Well now you can play as this reprogrammed killing machine with River Horse’s TERMINATOR GENISYS: THE MINIATURES GAME “Young Guardian” set! And now we’ll show it to you in depth in this unboxing and review!

First, let’s take a closer look at the blister package:

You can see this set contains two models. Once assembled, one will be the familiar 1973 Guardian Terminator holding a RPG as well as a young Sarah Connor. The other.. the same Guardian Terminator armed with an uzi! Let’s flip the packaging over.

The nice thing about this packaging is it just pops open. There is no cutting of the hard plastic required! Now let’s remove the contents.

Here are the model pieces (made out of Resin) and two circular bases. There is some assembly required so make sure you have some super glue handy as well as a razor blade or utility knife. It’s time to separate the pieces and glue them together. There is not much to assemble here so it shouldn’t take long.

Well that was easy! Separating the pieces were not hard to cut and our super glue worked fast! Ten minutes later we have two assembled “Young Guardian” Miniature models.. and they look beautiful! It’s amazing the detail they captured in such small models! Let’s take a closer look. First up will be the 1973 Guardian Terminator holding the young Sarah Connor!

This model is utterly fantastic! It feels like the Guardian walked right out of the movie and on to the gaming table! Just take a look at this comparison:

Another outstanding detailed model! These are really great. The only decision left to make is do we paint these or just leave them in their current gorgeous state of beauty? Either way, we can’t highly recommend this model set enough!
