Merkaba Tattoo

I can't believe it's taken me a year to post a review. Here goes: Off the bat.. I consider myself to be VERY blessed for having found Mallory and to be a client of her's.

A little bit about her shop: It's an intimate studio. The perfect setting for a tattoo session. It's just you and her. I for one hate going to tattoo shops where there are four or five other people getting tattooed around you. It takes away from the experience..in my opinion. This wonderful studio is nestled away in a great area of Santa Barbara. It's quite, very chill, and super clean. Mallory always plays great music (and will ask what you're in the mood for). Street parking is very easy to find.

Tattoo Experience: As mentioned, I've been a client of Mallory's for about a year now. I have had 4-6 (can't remember at the moment) sessions with her and each time I am amazed and grateful for the beautiful works of art she has portrayed on my body. She is NOT HEAVY HANDED and is very mindful of that (SUPER important if you're doing a 4-5 hour session as I've done with her). She's also a phenomenal artist. Truly truly truly talented at what she does. She makes the BEST recommendations in terms of color, style, placement etc. I trust her judgment completely, 100%. I realize that scheduling is a bit difficult if you're a new client because Mallory schedules only two months out but TRUST ME she is WORTH THE WAIT.

As an aside: Mallory is such a rad person. She is genuine, hilarious, witty and wonderful company! I'm not much of a talker, I'm actually rather shy but we literally chat the entire time. It's amazing to me how she manages to stay so engaged and interested in her clients lives.

If you are interested in a floral tattoo you will not regret going with her. [I posted some photos for reference]I would definitely check out her website and IG as they provide more examples of her work.

Mallory was awsome!! Booking process was fast. I had questions which she answered in a timely manner. During the tattoo session i felt comfortable and let me just say she has the lightest hand. Love my tattoo. Only issue is parking, but as long you get there early, parking should be no problem. Will be back for more!!

I haven't been to Mallory in almost a year, but I can tell you one thing. She is the best tattoo artist that I have come across. She is extremely personable, and very passionate about her work, which makes her even more remarkable. The color in her work is gorgeous, she listens to what you want, and she makes you feel so comfortable when getting tattooed.

I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to get a tattoo! You will not be disappointed.

Mallory is the best tattoo artist I've ever worked with and I regretfully wish I had all my ink done by her. I love her studio because it is so private, quiet, and comfortable, totally different than going into a tattoo shop off the street. She has a light touch and knows how to use color. Really super talented and also so much fun to talk to--which is really important when you are sitting alone with someone for 4.5 hours! I have no negative things to say except for maybe that she is booked out far in advance so you may have to wait a while, but I suppose that's not really a negative because when getting a tattoo you want someone who is in high demand. It's a good indicator of the quality of her work. I should have come to her sooner, she's the best around!

I got my first tattoo here and loved the experience. She made me feel comfortable by talking to me asking which position would be best for me to sit in and testing a spot on my skin so I can see how it would feel like. Mallory seems like a very nice person and I love the private feel of her place. I have nothing negative to say about the experience my artist or the studio so 5 stars.

I looked a long time to find an artist like Mallory and I couldn't have been happier with my gorgeous tatt and experience. She's so down to earth and sensitive to any concern like the pain of getting a tatt done. Her vision for my tatt was so much more beautiful and creative then I could have imagined. I healed super quickly and I know that Mallory having a light touch is a major part of why. I'm already thinking of what type of art I want to get done by Mallory. Anyone who gets art from her will be more than happy

Mallory talked me into making a bigger tattoo and it was great advice! I really got to see the colors and detail she put in. Overall a great experience that was clean and personable.

If you're looking for art this is the place to go. She doesn't do flash work which made me feel good about the fact that mine was unique. It's a process to get work done by her since she doesn't do walk ins but I actually enjoyed the anticipation of seeing her design the tattoo.

Mallory did a quarter sleeve for me. I loved it so much that I'm having her cover up my older, cheaper tattoos. I'm sure I will have even more work done by her in the future. She's an amazing artist.

Amazing artist, I get so many compliments on the c piece she did. I can't wait to go back and get more.

Not your run of the mill tattoo artist! Mallory is a fantastic tattoo artist, her work is incomparable. If you are looking for a beautiful and unique tattoo by an amazing artist, and a wonderful person look no further!
