Artist: Delaine "Dee" Tootsie Chee  (Hopi Tribe)

Dimensions: 8 3/4" tall X 6 1/4" Wide

Description: Traditional Hopi hand coiled Cylinder Jar by Delaine "Dee" Tootsie Chee (Sand Girl). It has Dragonflies and Healing Hands painted around the perimeter with migration designs above and Orion Belt designs. Dee uses all natural material for her pottery including bee-weed and cedar plant greens for paint and uses a yucca brush to paint her designs. She fires her pottery outdoors using sheep dung. She also mixes different colors of clay to create a "marbled" look to her pots which is highly unique. Dee is the granddaughter of the Chief of the First Mesa Ned Nayatewa & Norma Adams. She signs "D. Tootsie/ Asah"  with a Roadrunner motif below to represent her Roadrunner/Asah Clan.
