We are very tech oriented in our household and have started our three year old granddaughter on her own tablet so when I had the chance to try the Amazon Echo Dot 4th gen Kids Edition I took it. The initial setup was quick and simple, however the parental control setup wasn’t as user friendly as I would have liked. I am sure this will change as future updates are rolled out. The sound is really good with decent bass for a single speaker setup. Our three year old granddaughter loves using the device and can easily control it. The inclusion of Amazon Kids + is wonderful and, contrary to other reviews I saw, will work on Android tablets via the Amazon Kids + app. If there is any difference in content I cannot tell as I do not have an Amazon Fire tablet yet. All in all this device and service provide a lot of control for the parents and a huge amount of content for the kids, oh and the tiger face cover is awesome as tigers are my granddaughter favorite animal!

My daughter was very excited to receive this. It was quite easy to set up in the Alexa app and is a great size so not bulky or an eye sore at all. She started putting it to work right away. It sets alarms, answers her random questions, tells her jokes, plays music for her, reads her stories, and much more! I tested it multiple times to see if it would play a song with explicit lyrics and it wouldn’t which was great! The sound quality is clear and loud and I am able to call it or drop in whenever through the Alexa app as well as other echo’s throughout the house. I appreciate the unisex choice,tiger or panda,

loved more girly, colorful choices. This is a great and fun addition to a young child’s room!

I have been highly impressed with this Echo Dot for Kids. The setup was easy and there is parental control options that are easily accessed for you to limit who your kids can call and also limit the time it's used daily. You can also not allow explicit music in the parental control area of the dashboard.

My child uses this echo everyday. I wasn't sure if it would be a hit and it absolutely has. This will even read stories to your child! My son uses it for help with his homework especially with math questions. They can also easily call me with this echo.

Overall this has been a great very useful and helpful addition to my kids room and it's one electronic device I can trust.

I have a three, four and eight year old and they love communicating with Alexa. I have the FreeTime for kids set up and downloaded as well as the Alexa app downloaded on my phone. It’s easy to navigate through and choose the settings I want. I wanted it to be able to connect to my Apple Music and I was able to set that up as well. At night the kids or I can ask for sleep sounds to be played and this Echo Dot has a very long list of sleep sounds! The top control buttons are easy to use and voice activation allows me to turn it off from across the room. The design is very cute, too! Overall, this is engaging and interactive for my children and we all enjoy it for the music, night sounds and jokes we can get told. It’s also great for the kids to ask a question they need an answer to so I will definitely be recommending this product.
