Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for make-up containing interference color pigment and a method of preparing the same, and more particularly to a cosmetic composition for make-up containing interference color pigment in which a planar aluminum oxide is coated with a metallic oxide and a method of preparing the same. [2] Conventionally, as a method for compensating the skin color or covering the skin blemish, there has been used only a unnatural covering method using titanium dioxide (TiO ), or otherwise unrelieved skin expression has constituted the main current that expresses the skin color with organic/inorganic coloring matters using the principle of light absorption.
[3] However, as a pigment in conception of compensating the skin color and the skin blemish as well as offering the natural transparency and cubic effect in conformity with the recent trend of natural beauty and wellbeing, there has been used a pearl pigment (in which natural or synthetic mica is coated with titanium oxide and iron oxide) using the principle of light interference.
[4] Further, since in the planar base substance such as natural mica that has been used as a pearl pigment, the color itself thereof becomes vague due to foreign substances and so on, and the preparations thereof become vague in their color, the preparations, in particular such as cosmetic compositions and so on making much of color, are difficult in color management so that there has been recently used a synthetic planar base substance fabricated through synthesis, other than using the natural planar base substance.
[5] The most widely used one is the pearl glossy pigment using synthetic mica among pearl pigments. Due to that the pearl glossy pigment often shows inherent yellow color and that the mica base substance itself shows much gloss, it is difficult to exhibit sufficient color sensitivity upon using this.
[6] While such pearl pigment has an interference color and shows cubic effect and the transparency with subtle color, it has also drawback in use such as getting lustrous due to high gloss, degrading in its spread feature, being crisp and so on, so that it has a limit to be used as a main coloring pigment of the skin cosmetic composition. Moreover, due to such drawbacks as above, it is in general mixed with little amount, causing a problem of not sufficiently showing the interference color effect, which cannot actually satisfy the customer's demands. Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem
[7] In order to solve the above problems of the prior art, the inventors have studied a cosmetic composition for make-up, having a little gloss while showing interference color, thereby having effect of compensating the skin trouble such as pimple scars, speckle, freckle, somberness and so on, or the skin blemish such as skin pores, wrinkle and so on, the effect of offering the skin with cubic effect and natural make-up, providing excellent feeling in use, and having excellent gloss duration. As a result, the inventors have found that the cosmetic composition for make-up having the above effects will be fabricated by use of an interference color pigment in which the planar aluminum oxide other than the conventional planar natural mica or synthetic mica is coated with metallic oxide, or otherwise silicone compound is further coated on the metallic oxide coat.
[8] Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a cosmetic composition for make-up, containing an interference color pigment in which a planar aluminum oxide is firstly coated with a metallic oxide, or otherwise silicone compound is further secondarily coated on the metallic oxide coat, thereby having a little gloss while showing interference color, having effect of compensating the skin trouble such as pimple scars, speckle, freckle, somberness and so on, or the skin blemish such as skin pores, wrinkle and so on, the effect of offering the skin with cubic effect and natural make-up, providing excellent feeling in use, and having excellent gloss duration. Technical Solution
[9] In order to accomplish the above object, there is provided a cosmetic composition for make-up containing an interference color pigment in which a surface of a planar aluminum oxide is coated with a metallic oxide.
[10] In the cosmetic composition, the interference color pigment is provided so that the surface of the planar aluminum oxide is secondarily coated with silicone compound in addition to the firstly coated metallic oxide.
[11] In the cosmetic composition, the interference color pigment is contained by a range of 0.5~80wt%.
[12] In the cosmetic composition, the metallic oxide is at least one selected from the group composed of a titanium oxide, an iron oxide, a zinc oxide, a zirconium oxide, and a tin oxide.
[13] In the cosmetic composition, the silicone compound is at least one selected from the group composed of silica, silicone oil, methyl hydrogen polysiloxane, alkyl silane, acryl silane, perfluoro silane, perfluoro alkyl silane, and silicone cross polymer including dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone cross polymer.
[14] In the cosmetic composition, the planar aluminum oxide has an average grain size of 5-15D, maximum line diameter/thickness of 5-40, a specific surface area of 1-4 m/ g, and a gloss value of 10-25 measured at 60° by a gloss meter.
[15] In the cosmetic composition, the metallic oxide is coated by 10~60wt%, more preferably, by 30~50wt% for the total weight of the aluminum oxide.
[16] In the cosmetic composition, the silicone compound is secondarily coated by
0. l~20wt%, more preferably, by l~10wt% for the total weight of the interference color pigment firstly coated with the metallic oxide.
[17] In the cosmetic composition, the interference color is not limited to the color with a specified wavelength range, but shows the color with overall wavelength range of 400nm~700nm indicative of color.
[18] In the cosmetic composition, the composition has a little gloss while showing interference color to be used for compensating the skin trouble or the skin blemish, offering the skin with cubic effect and natural make-up, and improving a feeling in use and gloss duration.
[19] In the cosmetic composition, the formulation of the make-up cosmetic composition is any one selected from the group composed of make-up primer, foundation, make-up base, two way cake, pact, powder, lip stick, lip gloss, lip liner, mascara, eyebrow, eye shadow, and nail enamel.
[20] In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of preparing a cosmetic composition for make-up containing the interference color pigment comprising: (1) preparing an interference color pigment in which a surface of a planar aluminum oxide is coated with a metallic oxide; (2) grinding and mixing the components of the cosmetic composition such as oil-soluble oil contents, binders, pigments, sunscreen agents, antiseptics, and perfumes; and (3) adding the interference color pigment prepared by (1) to the mixture ground by (2).
[21] In the preparing method of the cosmetic composition, the interference color pigment in (1) is provided so that the surface of the planar aluminum oxide is secondarily coated with silicone compound in addition to the firstly coated metallic oxide.
[22] In the preparing method of the cosmetic composition, the cosmetic composition is pressed powders or powders.
Advantageous Effects
[23] The make-up cosmetic composition of the invention contains an interference color pigment in which a planar aluminum oxide is coated with a metallic oxide, or otherwise silicone compound is secondarily coated on the surface of the aluminum oxide in addition to the firstly coated metallic oxide, thereby having a little gloss while showing interference color, having effect of compensating the skin trouble such as pimple scars, speckle, freckle, somberness and so on, or the skin blemish such as skin pores, wrinkle and so on, the effect of offering the skin with cubic effect and natural make-up, providing excellent feeling in use, and having excellent gloss duration. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[24] The make-up cosmetic composition of the present invention preferably contains the interference color pigment of 0.5~80wt%. This is because if the amount is less than 0.5wt%, the effect thereof is not shown enough, and if the amount exceeds 80wt%, a problem in formulation may be caused.
[25] In the cosmetic composition, the planar aluminum oxide has preferably an average grain size of 5-15D.
[26] This is because if the grain size is less than 5D, the aluminum oxide shows white color due to scattered reflection of light and does not show the color of pearl, and if it exceeds 15D, upon combination in the cosmetic composition the spread feature is degraded to feel rough and bad regarding a feeling of use, and the color becomes vague due to ununiformity of the metallic oxide such as a titanium oxide coated on the aluminum oxide particles. Therefore it is preferable that the average grin size be limited to above range.
[27] Preferably, the planar aluminum oxide has maximum line diameter/thickness of
5-40, a specific surface area of 1-4 m /g, and a gloss value of 10-25 measured at 60° by a gloss meter.
[28] This is because if the maximum line diameter/thickness is less than 5, the aluminum oxide becomes reduced in diameter and thickened so that it shows the color tone with vague color other than distinct color, and if the maximum line diameter/thickness exceeds 40, it has a gloss so that when used in base make-up, it shows unnatural gloss. Therefore it is preferable that the maximum line diameter/thickness be limited to the above range.
[29] Further, if the specific surface area of the planar aluminum oxide is less than 1 m /g, a problem is caused that unnatural gloss is created and the aluminum oxide is subject to fragile, and if the specific surface area exceeds 4 m /g, the aluminum oxide does not show interference color properly due to many scattered reflections. Therefore it is preferable that the specific surface area be limited to the above range.
[30] Furthermore, if the gloss value measured 60° by a gloss meter is less than 10, the aluminum oxide is shown too mat, and if exceeds 25, the gloss shows unnatural gloss like pearl so that it is improper to apply the aluminum oxide onto the whole face. Therefore it is preferable that the gloss value be limited to the above range.
[31] The interference color pigment in which the surface of the planar aluminum oxide is coated with the metallic oxide may show diversified colors from silver- while color according to the coated amount of the metallic oxide.
[32] The first coated metallic oxide is at least one selected from the group composed of a titanium oxide, an iron oxide, a zinc oxide, a zirconium oxide, and a tin oxide, and the metallic oxide is coated by 10~60wt%, more preferably, by 30~50wt% for the total weight of the aluminum oxide.
[33] This is because if less than 10wt%, or over 60wt%, the interference color is not shown but vague white color is shown. In consideration of this, it is more preferable that the metallic oxide is coated by the range of 30~50wt%.
[34] The first coating method is prepared so that water, aluminum oxide and acid are provided and heat-stirred, titanium chloride solution or titanyl sulfide solution is added thereto at a constant rate to form titanium oxide film, a base is added thereto to neutralize, and the rinsing is carried out, and washing, drying, heating, and coating are sequentially carried out. Herein, the coating method is not specifically limited.
[35] Further, in case where the planar aluminum oxide is firstly coated with the metallic oxide and secondarily coated with silicone compound, the secondarily coated silicone compound is at least one selected from the group composed of silica, silicone oil, methyl hydrogen polysiloxane, alkyl silane, acryl silane, perfluoro silane, perfluoro alkyl silane, and silicone cross polymer. The silicone compound is secondarily coated by 0.1~20wt%, more preferably, by l~10wt% for the total weight of the interference color pigment firstly coated with the metallic oxide. This is because if less than 0. lwt%, the coating is carried out only very partially, and if over 20wt%, the powders are agglomerated due to overcoating. Therefore it is more preferable that the silicone compound be coated by l~10wt%.
[36] The secondary coating method may be selected according to the cosmetic composition and the purpose intended to accomplish in the cosmetic composition, among a wetting method, a drying method, CVD method, sol/gel method and so on, which are not particularly limited.
[37] While the secondary coating is determined to be carried out according to the cosmetic composition, it provides effect of further reducing a gloss of the interference color pigment firstly coated with the metallic oxide, of improving skin adhesion without being sticky, and of providing duration.
[38] The formulation of the make-up cosmetic composition is any one selected from the group composed of make-up primer, foundation, make-up base, two way cake, pact, powder, lip stick, lip gloss, lip liner, mascara, eyebrow, eye shadow, and nail enamel. The composition for each formulation may contain various bases and additives suitable for and required for preparation of the formulation, and the kind and amount of which may be easily selected by those skilled in the art.
[39] The make-up cosmetic composition of the invention has good compatibility to the components of the conventional cosmetic composition and provides outstanding effects of having a little gloss while showing interference color, thereby having visual compensating effect of compensating the skin trouble such as pimple scars, speckle, freckle, somberness and so on, or the skin blemish such as skin pores, wrinkle and so on, expressing diversified interference colors on the skin while being natural in makeup due to good skin adhesion, offering the skin with cubic effect, providing excellent feeling in use, and having excellent gloss duration of the skin.
[40] In the meantime, in preparing the make-up cosmetic composition containing the interference color pigment according to the present invention, first, the interference color pigment is prepared so that the surface of the planar aluminum oxide thereof is firstly coated with the metallic oxide or secondarily coated with silicone compound in addition to the first coating with metallic oxide. While the interference color pigment can be added to the mixture of the components (oil-soluble oil contents, binders, pigments, sunscreen agents, antiseptics, perfumes and so on) other than the pigment before and after grinding the mixture, if it is needed more intensified interference color and gloss control, the pigment can be added thereto after grinding the mixture. [41] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail through examples and experimental examples, but the invention is not limited thereto.
[42] [Preparation Examples 1 to 3, and Comparative Preparation Examples 1 and 2:
Preparation of Make-up Cosmetic Composition]
[43] In preparation examples 1 to 3 and comparative preparation examples 1 and 2, the cosmetic compositions for make-up were prepared with components and amounts shown in following Table 1.
[44] Herein, in Table 1, the preparation examples 1 to 3 are concerned to the components and amounts of the make-up cosmetic composition containing the interference color pigment of the present invention, the comparative preparation example 1 is concerned to those of the make-up cosmetic composition containing only conventional general pigments, and the comparative preparation example 2 is concerned to those of the make-up cosmetic composition containing conventional pearl pigment.

[46] [47] The preparation method of the preparation examples 1 to 3 and the comparative preparation examples 1 and 2 is as follows. First, in case of preparation example 1, the components 1 to 8 and 10 (in which a titanium oxide is first coated in about 35wt% on a planar aluminum oxide), in case of preparation 2, the components 1 to 8 and 11 (in which a titanium oxide is first coated in about 35wt% on a planar aluminum oxide and silica is secondarily coated in about 5wt% for the total weight of the interference color pigment firstly coated with the titanium oxide), in case of comparative preparation example 1, the components 1 to 8, and in case of comparative preparation example 2, the components 1 to 8 and 9 (natural mica + titanium oxide) were measured in their basis weight, ground and mixed with a mixer to obtain the mixture.
[48] Next, the components 13 to 16 were heated to 850C to fuse and ground and mixed to the mixture with a mixer to prepare the make-up cosmetic compositions of preparation examples 1 and 2, and comparative preparation examples 1 and 2.
[49] Further, in case of preparation example 3, the components 1 to 8 were measured in their basis weight, and ground and mixed with a mixer to obtain the mixture, the components 13 to 16 were heated to 850C to fuse and mixed to the mixture, ground and mixed with a mixer, and the component 12 (in which a titanium oxide is first coated in about 35wt% on an aluminum oxide and silica is secondarily coated in about 5wt% for the total weight of the interference color pigment firstly coated with the titanium oxide) was introduced in and mixed to the ground mixture to prepare the make-up cosmetic composition of the comparative preparation example 3.
[50] Herein, the coating methods of the preparation examples 1 to 3 are as follows. [51] In first coating with the titanium oxide, water and aluminum oxide were mixed in a ratio of 8:2 in weight, hydrochloric acid was provided to the mixed solution of 1OL to maintain pH 1 to 4, the solution was heated to 650C and stirred at 400rpm for 11 hours, titanyl sulfide solution (30wt%) of 300ml was added thereto with constant rate to form a titanium oxide film, sodium hydroxide was added thereto to control to pH 7, rinsing, washing, and drying were carried out, and heating was carried out at 6000C for 30 minutes for coating.
[52] Upon the secondary coating with silica, the planar aluminum oxide firstly coated with the titanium oxide was mixed with the silica sol of 2wt% and the dried gel was heat-treated at 5000C for 20 minutes to thereby coat the surface of the metallic oxide with silica.
[53] [Experimental Example 1 : Evaluation of color] [54] The cosmetic compositions for make-up prepared in the preparation examples 1 to 3 and the comparative preparation examples 1 and 2 were applied in 0.5mm thickness on glass plates, and the color was measured by use of a spectrophotometer (CM2002, Minolta Co.), to thereby compare and evaluate the color. The measuring results were shown in following Table 2.

[61] As shown in Table 2, when comparing the color of the cosmetic composition of preparation example 1 with those of the comparative preparation example 1, it can be known that the preparation example 1 increases its degree of red green and the saturation while the brightness increases so that the interference color can be shown with little somberness in color, as compared to the comparative preparation example 1. In case of the cosmetic composition of the preparation example 3 in which the interference color pigment is introduced after the components used in common make-up cosmetic composition are mixed and ground, it can be known that the brightness, the degree of red green and the saturation are more increased than the comparative preparation example 1 so that distinct color can be shown.
[62] [63] [Experimental Example 2: Evaluation of the degree of gloss] [64] The cosmetic compositions prepared in the preparation examples 1 to 3 and the comparative preparation examples 1 and 2 were applied on the glass plates by the same sampling method as in color measurement of the experimental example 1, and the degree of gloss was compared and evaluated through measuring a reflected beam at 60° by a gloss meter (BYK Gardner). The measuring results are shown in following Table 3.

[66] [67] As shown in Table 3, when comparing the degree of gloss of the cosmetic composition of the preparation example 1 with those of the comparative preparation example 2, it can be known that the preparation example 1 containing the interference color pigment has reduced gloss by about 1/2 as compared to the comparative preparation example 2 containing the conventional pearl pigment. Further, when comparing with the comparative preparation example 1 containing only conventional general pigment, the gloss is not greatly increased as compared to the comparative preparation example 1 so that getting glossy is not caused so much. Moreover, in case of the cosmetic composition of the preparation example 2 containing the interference color pigment further coated with silicone compound (silica) in addition to the titanium oxide, it can be known that the gloss thereof is further reduced as compared to the preparation example 1.
[68] [69] [Experimental Example 3: Evaluation of effect of compensating skin blemish, cubic effect, natural make-up, feeling in use, and gloss duration]
[70] With respect to effect of compensating skin blemish, cubic effect, natural make-up, feeling in use, and gloss duration in the cosmetic compositions prepared in the preparation examples 1 to 3 and the comparative preparation examples 1 and 2, 30 persons of professional panels (25 to 35 aged women) compare and evaluate. The results are shown in following Table 4. Herein, the evaluation was carried out such that the worst evaluation corresponds to a value 1, and the best evaluation corresponds to a value 9.

[72] [73] As shown in Table 4, the make-up cosmetic compositions containing the interference color pigment of the present invention were evaluated excellent for all items.
[74] In the evaluation of skin blemish compensation effect and cubic effect, the cosmetic compositions of the preparation examples 1 to 3 containing the interference color pigment were evaluated excellent as compared to those of the comparative preparation example 1. In particular, the preparation example 3 was evaluated as best one.
[75] In the evaluation of natural make-up, the cosmetic compositions of the preparation examples 1 to 3 were evaluated excellent as compared to those of the comparative preparation examples 1 and 2. In particular, the preparation example 2 was evaluated as best one. The comparative preparation example 2 containing the conventional pearl pigment was evaluated as worst one due to unnaturalness of the pearl.
[76] In the evaluation of the feeling in use, while the cosmetic compositions of the preparation examples 1 to 3 and the comparative preparation examples 1 and 2 all were evaluated good above 7.0, those of the preparation examples 1 to 3 were evaluated better. In particular, the preparation example 2 was evaluated as best one.
[77] In the evaluation of gloss duration, the cosmetic compositions of the preparation examples 1 to 3 were evaluated better than those of the comparative preparation examples 1 and 2. In particular, the preparation example 2 containing the interference color pigment further coated with silicone compound (silica) and the preparation example 3 in which the interference color pigment is introduced after the components used in the common make-up cosmetic composition are mixed and ground were evaluated better than the preparation example 1. This indicates that the make-up cosmetic composition containing the interference color pigment shows excellent results in terms of color, regular distribution, and gloss duration according to the improvement in adhesion, as compared to those of the prior art. Industrial Applicability
[78] The make-up cosmetic composition of the invention contains an interference color pigment in which a planar aluminum oxide is coated with a metallic oxide, or otherwise silicone compound is secondarily coated on the surface of the aluminum oxide in addition to the firstly coated metallic oxide, thereby having a little gloss while showing interference color, having effect of compensating the skin trouble such as pimple scars, speckle, freckle, somberness and so on, or the skin blemish such as skin pores, wrinkle and so on, the effect of offering the skin with cubic effect and natural make-up, providing excellent feeling in use, and having excellent gloss duration.

Claims

Claims
[I] A cosmetic composition for make-up containing an interference color pigment in which a surface of a planar aluminum oxide is coated with a metallic oxide.
[2] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1, wherein the interference color pigment is provided so that the surface of the planar aluminum oxide is secondarily coated with silicone compound in addition to the firstly coated metallic oxide. [3] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the interference color pigment is contained by a range of 0.5~80wt%. [4] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the metallic oxide is at least one selected from the group composed of a titanium oxide, an iron oxide, a zinc oxide, a zirconium oxide, and a tin oxide. [5] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 2, wherein the silicone compound is at least one selected from the group composed of silica, silicone oil, methyl hydrogen polysiloxane, alkyl silane, acryl silane, perfluoro silane, perfluoro alkyl silane, and silicone cross polymer including dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone cross polymer. [6] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the planar aluminum oxide has an average grain size of 5-15D, maximum line diameter/ thickness of 5-40, a specific surface area of 1-4 m /g, and a gloss value of
10-25 measured at 60° by a gloss meter. [7] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the metallic oxide is coated by 10~60wt% for the total weight of the aluminum oxide. [8] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 7, wherein the metallic oxide is coated by 30~50wt% for the total weight of the aluminum oxide. [9] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 2, wherein the silicone compound is secondarily coated by 0.1~20wt% for the total weight of the interference color pigment firstly coated with the metallic oxide. [10] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 9, wherein the silicone compound is secondarily coated by l~10wt% for the total weight of the interference color pigment firstly coated with the metallic oxide.
[I I] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the interference color is not limited to the color with a specified wavelength range, but shows the color with overall wavelength range of 400nm~700nm indicative of color.
[12] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the composition has a little gloss while showing interference color to be used for compensating the skin trouble or the skin blemish, offering the skin with cubic effect and natural make-up, and improving a feeling in use and gloss duration.
[13] The cosmetic composition according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein the formulation of the make-up cosmetic composition is any one selected from the group composed of make-up primer, foundation, make-up base, two way cake, pact, powder, lip stick, lip gloss, lip liner, mascara, eyebrow, eye shadow, and nail enamel.
[14] A method of preparing a make-up cosmetic composition containing the interference color pigment comprising:
(1) preparing an interference color pigment in which a surface of a planar aluminum oxide is coated with a metallic oxide;
(2) grinding and mixing the components of the cosmetic composition including oil- soluble oil contents, binders, pigments, sunscreen agents, antiseptics, and perfumes; and
(3) adding the interference color pigment prepared by (1) to the mixture ground by (2).
[15] The method according to Claim 14, wherein the interference color pigment in (1) is provided so that the surface of the planar aluminum oxide is secondarily coated with silicone compound in addition to the firstly coated metallic oxide.
[16] The method according to Claim 14, wherein the make-up cosmetic composition is pressed powders or powders.
