Abstract

The invention relates to aqueous suspensions of solid particles of UV-filters, whereby said particles have an average diameter which ranges between 10 and 500 nm and contain at least one UV-filter and preferably at least one surface modifying agent. The suspensions are suitable for producing cosmetic preparations, in particular sunscreens with an improved UV-protective action, an extremely stable formulation and whose UV-protection is water-resistant.
