N’GOLO KANTE’S strike against Manchester United was the perfect finish to Chelsea’s afternoon, according to David Luiz.

David Luiz says 'everybody is happy' after Man Utd win

The Blues duo both signed at Stamford Bridge this summer as part of Antonio Conte’s immediate changes.

And the ex-Leicester midfielder has so far proved an astute acquisition following his influential first campaign in the Premier League.

Kante crowned a dominating display against Jose Mourinho’s men with a surprising solo strike in the 4-0 win over United - and Chelsea players showed their appreciation.

Centre-back Luiz was quick to salute his workhorse team-mate after seeing him make a rare appearance on the scoresheet alongside Pedro, Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard.

“This guy is a special guy, a fantastic person and a fantastic player,” Luiz told The Sun on Kante.

“I think everybody saw, when he scored, that everybody was so, so happy for him.

“He is a totally amazing player and person and I am so happy for him.”

Luiz added: “He scores a lot. In training he scores a lot, more than Ronaldo!”

Following Chelsea’s third successive clean sheet in the United victory, Conte is expected to stick with his 3-4-3 system which has helped both Kante and Luiz.

And both are set to travel to face West Ham on Wednesday night in the EFL Cup fourth round.
