This year’s VSFS endured sharp losses in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

The move to a new network — and a new night — did not help ratings for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

ABC’s broadcast of the 2018 event, which aired Sunday, sank to new franchise lows in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, the broadcast drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 3.27 million overall viewers.

The numbers sharply trail the 1.5 rating and 5.03 million viewer mark posted by last year’s broadcast on CBS (the event’s former home). At the time, that broadcast represented the lowest-rated on record.

The move to Sunday notably put this year’s event in competition with NBC’s highly rated Sunday Night Football coverage.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show remains a global attraction that draws considerable international (and social media) interest. Its time as a major US television draw, however, appears to be over.
