Great Shore Excursion Option - We, my husband and myself, were very happy that we did a private tour with Gabriela as opposed to taking a group shore excursion. She was very knowledgeable. She reordered the route to avoid the crowds from the ship's shore excursions. For safety, she advised us to take a taxi to the meeting place as opposed to walking, which we were glad we did. It was 50 Brazilian Real for the taxi ride, about $10. But after we had the lay of the land, and being appropriately dressed down so as not to invite pickpockets, she dropped us off at the Lacerda Elevator and gave us the 30 cents for the fare which took us very close to the cruise terminal and passengers walking on the sidewalks. Aside: In the cruise terminal, there is an ATM, beware the fees!, and if you go just beyond a cash exchange which was very reasonable.

Amazing tour of Pelourinho with a very knowledgable guide - Gabriela messaged me the night before to ensure I knew where to meet her. My flight was getting into Salvador late at night so she very kindly agreed to push back the start of the tour by an hour to allow me more time to rest and then get ready. Gabriela was a friendly knowledgable tour guide. She provided a lot of insight into the history of Salvador and about the architecture of the buildings in Pelourinho. She also told me about the various ways some people try and make money from tourists so I could make an informed decision of who to engage with while exploring Salvador. I had booked the 3 hour walking tour but was so impressed with Gabriela that I extended it to a full day tour where she then took me around other parts of Salvador in her car and even dropped me off at my hotel at the end. Even after the tour she stayed in touch and provided me with valuable tips and advice during the rest of my time in Bahia

Que magia tem a Bahia! (Bahia has magic!) and Gabriela made it real! - Gabriela met us at the airport and, since the very first moment, started sharing information and tips that allowed us to fully enjoy our time in Salvador. One highlight was the walking tour of the Pelourinho, Salvador's delightful historic center, which allowed us to step into the city's rich and vibrant history and culture. Gabi is incredibly knowledgeable about art, history, culture, and Brazil's social and political issues, and answered all our many questions. We not only enjoyed the sights, we also learned a lot! Gabi is very flexible, and conducted the tour at a good pace, which was particularly important for us as we were traveling with children. We loved our time in Salvador and would not hesitate to contact Gabi if we go back. We definitely recommend her!

Vibrant Pelourinho - Gabriella, our guide met us at airport. She was professional, efficient and very knowledgeable. She was all this and more when we experienced her tour. As a wheelchair user she opened up Salvador and the most especially the Pelourinho. I participated in all aspects of the tour , the buildings, the galleries, the street food , the hustle and bustle of the area. The beautiful , colourful and aromatic streets and most important the hills. Gabriella did her homework and organised the tour that I missed nothing. An exciting and wonderful experience that I will relive for ever. It’s two years since I was there snd I’d go back in a heartbeat.
