Producer Charmme Kaur confident about Liger, says 'it will open to huge numbers in South and overseas'

Everyone is waiting with bated breath for the release of Liger. Touted as a masala entertainer, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. On August 25, the film will be released in cinemas in multiple languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Charmme Kaur, who is the producer of Liger, is confident of the fact that Liger will work well at the box office. In a media interaction, she said that the film will open to huge numbers in the South and overseas.

CHARMME KAUR ON LIGER'S BOX OFFICE

Talking about how Liger is expected to perform at the box office, Charmme said, "I know Liger is opening to huge numbers down South and overseas. 25th August is a Thursday, which is not a very good day for Hindi films. I am aware of that but it was the decision that was taken because on Thursday, numbers are going to be huge in the South."

She further shared, "I had to balance out this decision but I know this film will grow hugely in the North from Friday. It will grow better on Saturday and it will grow much better on Sunday. And throughout the week, it will keep growing. I know for the fact that this film is here to stay, it is just not here for 3 days. This film will not only have an audience, but it will have a repeat audience."

ABOUT LIGER

Liger has been directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film is jointly produced by Puri Connects and Dharma Productions. Also starring Ramya Krishnan, the movie is going to hit the big screen on August 25, 2022.

Recently, during a media interaction, Puri Jagannadh revealed that he wanted to cast Janhvi Kapoor for Liger as he is a Sridevi fan. However, Janhvi's dates were not available for the film and later, Ananya came on-board for Liger.
