Is a Sex and the City Samantha Jones Spin-Off in the Works? Kim Cattrall Fuels Rumors With an Instagram

Sex and the City fans, grab your Manolos and get ready for some bawdy word play. According to a recent post on Kim Cattrall's Instagram, it looks like there might be some truth to those rumors that Samantha Jones is getting her very own SATC spin-off.

Speculation began in November when host Wendy Williams addressed the rumors that Cattrall was in talks with HBO to reprise her role as the public relations expert from the beloved series. The actress further fanned the flames by responding to a tweet from The Wendy Williams show. "Can't WAIT 2 get back 2 the serious business of making u all laugh," she wrote. Fans were quick to respond with excitement, to which she simply replied that her fingers were crossed.

Now it seems like the 60-year-old is leaving even more bread crumbs on social media for Sex and the City fans to follow. On Wednesday, Cattrall posted her very first Boomerang to Instagram dressed in a very Samantha outfit featuring a sassy shoulder-less cheetah print blouse and dangling blue earrings. "My 1st Boomerang, Honey!" she captioned the GIF, using one of the character's favorite terms of endearment. "Channeling Ms Samantha Jones once again ....."

The star's makeup artist, Nick Barose, gave further credence to the rumors that we might see the most outspoken member of the New York's fictional foursome on screen again when he posted a selfie featuring him and Cattrall using the hashtag #SecretProject.

Will we be seeing Samantha on screen sometime soon? It appears that if Cattrall has anything about it we will. Let's just hope that the writers are prepared for her return to screen with a list of sexual innuendos and snappy puns to her to fire off, honey.
