No ticket to the upcoming Met Gala (AKA "the party of the year")? Don't fret, dolls, there's a great way for you to soak up some vicarious glamour, courtesy of beer heiress, muse, and couture collector Daphne Guinness...
According to Page Six, she'll get dressed for this year's Met Costume Institute Gala in the windows of Barneys New York! "Style queen Guinness and Barneys are collaborating on a six-week exhibition, 'Fashion as Art,' where Guinness will conduct several performances -- one of which will be the fashion muse prepping for the gala in full view of shoppers and passersby," the item says. This year's gala is an homage to Alexander McQueen, to whom Guinness served as a long-time muse (and close friend), so expect to see her getting all gussied up in one of his designs.
I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to be a fly on the wall of a celebrity's room while they're getting ready for a major red carpet! Last year's Met Gala episode of The Rachel Zoe Project featured a few minutes of A-listers like Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler getting ready in Stella McCartney's hotel suite before the event, and I was totally obsessed, so I'll definitely be making a beeline for Barneys on the afternoon of the big event. Pretty cool, huh? Would you guys want to watch a celeb get primped for the red carpet? Anyone in particular?
