Original edition of the Collection of Sonnets, odes, hymns, elegies and eleventh original collective editing. It is illustrated with a magisterial title allegorical frontispiece engraved by Leonard Gaultier, here in the first draw, the bust of Ronsard crowned by Homer and Virgil, as well as Mars and Venus whose sex will be for other prints, veiled by a lock of hair. A portrait of Muret the back sheet of the sixth and two other portraits (the author and one woman) inset on the back of eighth sheet. This edition was also separated into ten volumes in 12 by Nicolas Buon.

Binding in full brown calf of the time. Back to six nerves decorated with blind fillets and golden jewels. Double net gilded framing dishes. Mors rubbed, corners lightly used and some rubbing. A small working worm affecting the lower margin slice a few layers, some foxing and discreet restoration of paper (mainly on the frontispiece of the page).

The original edition of the Collection of Sonnets, odes, hymns, elegies contains 132 pp in fine works.; we note with great interest the comments distributed to each constituent poems sonnets and odes by Belleau, or Richelet Muret, eloquent testimonies of contemporary poets including the Pleiades, and testimony of a medieval practice which was already in a writer of prose paraphrase a comment by his verse poem (Dante's Vita Nova of the fourteenth is a good example). Ronsard published his first "works" in 1560; From then until his death, he will work diligently to editing all of his works, but his body was so huge (besides correcting and rewriting) that many editions will come after his death in 1585, including pieces he chose himself subtract according to his ecclesiastical status and contemporary events.
