Itinerary of Our Adventure in the Clouds

Departure from Salta:

The excursion begins at 7:00 am with a bus departure from Salta to San Antonio de Los Cobres. During this journey, we'll have the opportunity to make some stops to observe the landscape and take photos at points like Campo Quijano, where we'll arrive around 7:35 am. This is the first stop after leaving the station in Salta.

Campo Quijano, Viaduct "El Toro," and Yacoraite Geological Formation:

Campo Quijano is a picturesque town where the train makes a brief stop for passengers to enjoy the scenery and take photos.

Next, at around 8:05 am, we'll make a stop at the "El Toro" viaduct, and finally, at 8:55 am, we'll make another stop at the Yacoraite geological formation. This is another important stop on the route. The Yacoraite Geological Formation is an area where passengers can appreciate a unique and colorful natural formation in the mountains. The stop allows passengers to explore and photograph the geological formation.

El Alfarcito:

Approximately at 9:25 am, we'll arrive at the town of El Alfarcito, which is a stop and point of interest on the Train of the clouds route. This is not a technical stop of the train itself but rather an important part of the tour itinerary and an additional experience. The place is a rural community nestled in the Quebrada del Toro, known for its natural beauty and contribution to sustainable tourism. Here, passengers have the opportunity to disembark from the train and enjoy a unique cultural and culinary experience.

In "El Alfarcito," you'll find the Community Development Center of the same name, founded by the Argentine priest and activist Father Chifri. This center works for the social, educational, and economic development of the local community. Visitors often enjoy a warm and hospitable reception, where they can taste local dishes, purchase crafts, and learn about community initiatives.
