The Far West is a region of North America between the Mississippi River and the Rocky Mountains, and beyond to the Pacific Ocean. Also called old wild west or west is the region where there was the historical process occurred during the nineteenth century, the expansion of the border of the United States of America to the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Although the colonization of the region began in the sixteenth century with the arrival of Europeans on the east coast, the goal of the West Coast was mainly due to the government’s initiative of President Thomas Jefferson, after buying Louisiana in France in 1803. the expansion of the border is considered a search of opportunity and progress.
