1947 Delahaye 135 MS Figoni and Falaschi Cabriolet
The French weren’t left out of the competition at this year’s Monterey Car Week; this 1947 Delahaye 135 MS with elegant coachwork by Figoni and Falaschi took home the French Cup and won its class (Postwar Grand Touring) at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The MS is the sportiest version of Delahaye’s signature Type 135, first introduced at the 1935 Paris Auto Salon. This example employs the Narval (or “Narwhal”) design, recognized by its protruding hood, and is one of just seven similar cars built by Figoni & Falaschi.
