This example features chrome brightwork and is fitted with a rare V-12 engine. This car was first shown at the 1938 Paris Auto Salon and was purchased by W. E. “Billy” Butlin, who then sold to Adrian Conan Doyle, the son of Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It was acquired by the Lee collection in 1988. (pebblebeachconcours.net)
