In 2017 and 2018 I spent hours, days, and months focused on creating a great edit for Eddie Adams. The end of May came, I submitted my images…and didn’t make the cut.
After all that work, to get rejected, I almost gave up. I felt like I had nothing left in the emotional tank. But I decided to press on, and worked harder in 2018 and 2019 to create images that I thought were an even better submission.
And I made it. The email arrived on Sunday afternoon, July 21. Reading, “Congratulations! We are pleased to to welcome you…” I didn’t need to read any further.
Elation.
