Joan Jett is a horrible boss, ex-assistant says

Everyone knows Joan Jett loves rock ’n’ roll — but a new lawsuit says that the Hall of Fame rocker hates paying her staff overtime.

The raven-haired ’80s rock goddess’ “Bad Reputation” as a down-to-earth punk chick has been smashed by claims from former personal assistant Bradley Weinbrand, who describes the rock star as nothing more than a classic high-maintenance diva, according to court papers.

Weinbrand says Jett — who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year — forced her personal assistant to work more than 70 hours a week with no overtime pay to do tasks such as drive around town at all hours to get her vegan food.

She also regularly made him drive two hours from his home in Long Beach to her Manhattan apartment just to clean her cats’ litter boxes, with no overtime.

“She used this guy as a personal slave without appropriate compensation,” a source close to Weinbrand told The Post. “He worked day and night with no overtime while Jett partied with her famous friends. It’s shameful.”

Jett, who follows a strict vegan diet, would also order Weinbrand to schlep around for hours just to buy specific health foods from trendy supermarkets, the suit charged.

“Joan Jett is very picky about what she eats to the point of absurdity,’’ the source said.

The suit, which was filed in Nassau County Supreme Court earlier this year, says Jett paid Brown a measly flat rate of $500 per week.

His suit was filed as a counterclaim against Jett after she sued him in 2013, claiming he kept the insurance money from a car accident that should have gone to her and that he also racked up credit-card bills on her dime.

Jett’s reps did not respond to requests for comment.

Weinbrand’s lawyer, Jeffrey Brown, of Leeds Brown Law, declined to comment.
