On May 11, 2012, Cody and I embarked on our amazing journey as husband and wife. Over the past year and a half we have endured some of our toughest trials and have created some of our greatest memories. Every day we strive to be the best people we can be for ourselves and one another. People always tell me that marriage is a work in progress. They could not be more right! Although we have had our struggles, it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life and I would not change it for the world.
Along with starting our family, we also extended it. We have two incredible pups that suit both mine and Cody’s personality. Zoey, my fat girl, is a Dachshund/Beagle mix. This dog is THE definition of lazy! The only time her little stubby legs are moving faster than the pace of a walk is when it is time to eat. Then we have Ruby Sue, also known as Susan Oppenheimer, named after the one and only Robert Oppenheimer creator of the atomic bomb. If there is ever a day that Ruby doesn’t retrieve her ball for you, it is because she's dead. This dog lives for her yellow ball.
Aside from taking care of my babies at home, I also take care of two beautiful babies for two other families. Out of the four jobs that I have held, this one is by far my favorite. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than having the privilege of watching little ones grow and learn. Even though they are not my own, they push me to want better for myself, my husband, and my future children. It is my hope that as I grow older I may look back on my life and know that I did everything to the best of my ability for my family.
