Semana Santa Vistas: Cucurucho Father and Son Embracing

Cucuruchos learn the process from very early age, many of them as babies dress up and are carried by fathers and mothers who instill in them the devotion and importance of participating in the religious traditions of Antigua Guatemala, processions being the most visual and public of all. Back on February I had already shared with with the portrait of Dolorosa mother and cucurucho son on their way to carry a children’s procession. Today I share with the portrait of proud father embracing his cucurucho-dressed baby son.
