Message of the Ouroboros in 2006: Do Not Dupe or Blame Others

Native American Ouroboros

Linking in
common
bond to
Ouroboros
is

Coyote, the Trickster,
teacher, survivor,
and fool.

Ouroboros
and
Trickster,

both Creator
and
Destroyer,

Giver
and
Negater,

both
Jungian
archetypes,

each who
dupe others
and who
themselves
are duped.

Duality
and
ambiguity,

Culture Heros
and
DemiGods.

More the
civilized we
have become,

we blame a
shadow for
our misfortunes.

Ouroboros is
a dramatic symbol
for the integration
of the opposite
of the shadow.

Coyote is a
shadow dancer
of clown.

We always have a tendency to blame others when things don't go right. You are right on in that. Wonderful right and very interesting and insightful, Sage!

Sage,

You take us down unknown paths and educate the mind to ancient wisdom. Thank you for it--

Glad I checked out your Native American Ouroboros.

And I think far too many of us blame shadows these days.

No duping? No blaming others for our own failings? Then the world goes to hell in handbasket for that is all we fools are, a bunch of tricksters tricking each other and being tricked because we fear to truly see the face of God in our brothers and sisters. I like this one the best so far, Sage. Love the picture too. This is an enlightening series. Thank you. ~~Nordette

Another fine offering. Your name fits you well Sage!
I named a good poet friend Trickster;-) It was because
she seems to be able to trick time and get twice the
amount and more done in a day than anyone else I know.

Wise thoughts Sage, have a healthy Happy New Year!

The Native American mythology is wonderfully tied in with nature,
similar to the celts and druids, another tribal clan society
with pagan deities woven into the Christian calender; worshippers of water and trees, great storytellers and metal-workers. The pig, the salmon, the horse, all sorts of animals had significence for the legendary Celts. kenny

Man, oh man, you are on a roll with the Ouroboros theme, I'm here to tell you. Your insightful perception of life has to be grounded in having lived a rich life, no matter your age, young or old, to have the mind of the philosopher, which you possess. These lines are profound:

The coyote reminds me of the slyness and craft of our native fox, which survives on its guile and wits !
