Message of Ouroboros 2006: Protect the Environment and Love the Children. This is the finale of the series of Ouroboros by Sage Sweetwater. I hope you come back and visit the Ouroboros series often, as it is neverending. Thank each of you for the comments and reviews. I appreciate each one who left me a thought in return to ponder. The Ouroboros series was a very challenging project. I enjoyed every minute. Happy New Year!

Tree of Life Ouroboros

Branches to the
sky.

roots deep into
earth.

Ouroboros Tree
of Life cycle of
dying and rebirth.

Laurel, evergreen,
and deciduous,

bear seeds and
fruits,

continuous regeneration
of immortality.

Tree of Life lives
in three worlds;

Heaven, Earth,
and Underworld,

uniting above and
below.

Archetypal lunar
image of the
fruitful Mother,

solar strength,
the phallus,

together womb
and phallus
bear children.

Tree Mother and
Tree Father produce
the tree ancestor,

giving name to the
family tree.

Ouroboros.

The unending cycle.

"In an earlier part of history, you lived on this planet in a matriarchal society. Then there was a shift, and the partiarchy emerged. When you ade that shift, you moved away from expressing your emotions. You labeled it "weak" to do so. It was during this period that males also invented the devil, and the masculine God.
Satan was essentially a male invention. Ultimately, all society went along with it, but the turning away from emotions, and the invention of an "Evil One," was all part of a male rebellion against the matirarchy, a period during which women ruled over everthing from their emotions"

i read the whole series to date through fascinating elements & ouroboros
a great mythic link & archetypal device to connect as literary vision
in ideological context as well as factual saludos

Who could not love this, Sage? You present this seemingly "matter of factly" but there is so much to garner from this creation. Thank you so much for sharing these poems that are a testimonial of your gifted spirit. Love and peace to you,

LOVE IT!! Right up my street and down my garden path, I can live and breathe this one especially... Tree of Life is a powerful symbol of future hope: children and the environment - producing new life and sustaining it. I particularly like the figure that we are symbiotic and yet hermaphrodite, having both male and female parts within the very fibre of our being, and that counterbalance, balance and tension are all that pertain to health and well-being. In the midst of life we are in death and vice versa. To be truly healthy, our bodies maintain that life/death balance... otherwise we stagnate. Build up, break down... the message of life is in the compost heap. Regeneration is in decay. The Phoenix roosts in this Sacred Tree. Blessed be Blessed in the wheel of 2006, Sage, with love and respect from The Anglo-Amoeba xx

I have enjoyed each one of these little (sic) pieces of the eternal puzzle, of which there really isn't puzzling at all. Yes, I have a feeling these were very challaging. As far as me rereading them? Yup. I've saved 'em all.
