Vorteilhafterweise wird der Außendiffusor aus vier Teilringabschnitten gebildet und es werden vier gleich beabstandete Streben vorgesehen, die insbesondere aus zwei parallelen Speichen gebildet sind. Insbesondere besteht der erfindungsgemäße Außendiffusor aus Kunststoff, und die mechanische Verbindung der einzelnen Teilringabschnitte erfolgt mit Hilfe von Schrauben oder Nieten oder durch Steckverbindungen. Durch die Mehrteiligkeit des Außendiffusors reduzieren sich die Werkzeugkosten. Weiterhin ist es vorteilhaft, wenn der Außendiffusor sich von seiner Einströmöffnung zu seiner Ausströmöffnung konisch mit einem zu seiner Mittelachse X-X bezogenen Konuswinkel α von 10 ° bis 18 °, insbesondere 12 ° bis 15 ° erweitert.
