Abstract
Description
A brush attachment of the construction described is off known in practice and enables thorough cleaning flat floor surfaces, especially smooth floors and Carpets made of short, hard loop fabric. In the Suction cleaning of floor surfaces, e.g. by lying on Carpets are relatively uneven, and when vacuum cleaning of high, soft velor floors is the function of the device in need of improvement. When using on deep-pile carpets take the pushing force considerably to. At the same time, the brush attachment tends to tilt with the result that the front in the suction direction Suction mouth edge has no defined ground contact and the Suction negative pressure and the suction effect can drop.
The invention has for its object a brush attachment to specify for suction cleaning of floor surfaces, that with good suction on uneven floors as well as on different floor coverings, from smooth floors to deep-pile velor floors are sufficient.
Starting from a brush attachment at the entrance described construction, the task according to the invention solved in that the suction mouth edges are vertical adapt flexibly to the floor surface. Can be constructive this can be done in different ways.
According to a first embodiment of the invention Brush roller chamber on the suction channel or on the upper part of the housing rotatably mounted and is on the brush roller chamber a base plate formed with the suction mouth edges connected. The axis of rotation for the swiveling movement of the Brush roller chamber and the axis of rotation of the brush roller are arranged essentially in alignment. By a The swivel movement of the brush roller chamber adjust itself Suction mouth edges automatically on the flooring, taking any Tilting movements of the brush attachment can be compensated.
From the negative pressure below the edges of the suction mouth result in contact forces that are symmetrical to the Swivel axis of the brush roller chamber on the base plate act and also with extreme floor coverings, e.g. shaggy Velours, a plane-parallel orientation and thus ensure proper suction operation.
In the described embodiment of the invention is a further functional improvement achievable if the bearing arrangement the brush roller is vertically adjustable is. It is within the scope of the invention that the Ground clearance of the axis of rotation opposes the effect of Return springs automatically adjusts to the flooring or is manually adjustable. Due to the vertical adjustability the brush roller is the bottom overhang of the Brush roller opposite the suction mouth edges caused by the Teaching according to the invention always parallel to the floor surface are aligned and adapt to the flooring, changeable.
Another constructive embodiment of the invention Teaching is that before and in the suction direction behind the brush roller chamber vertically movable and on Bottom slides supported by compression springs are arranged, which each have a suction mouth edge. By the Interplay between spring force and contact force fit the suction mouth edges independently of each other Flooring. In this embodiment of the invention overhang of the brush roller on the bottom compared to the Suction mouth edges depending on the respective floor covering. By appropriately determining the spring characteristics, the adjusting supernatant can be set up so that All floor coverings have an optimal suction result. A resilient suspension of the brush roller is not necessary. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention Brush roller therefore on a housing-fixed bearing arrangement stored rotating.
