Abstract

La présente invention concerne un diffuseur d'échappement pour turbine à gaz destiné à être inséré en aval d'un dernier étage de détente constitué d'une gaine de sortie (1) de section circulaire comportant un bulbe central (2).
Il comprend
  • une gaine de transition (3) évasée, de section circulaire identique à celle de la gaine de sortie (1) du dernier étage à son entrée et de section carrée à sa sortie,
  • quatre ailettes (4) fixes disposées à l'intérieur desdites gaines (1,3) et respectivement à proximité de chaque coin de la section carrée et dirigeant les gaz d'échappement vers les coins de la section carrée.

Description

  • La présente invention se rapporte à un diffuseur d'échappement de turbine à gaz.
  • Elle concerne plus exactement un diffuseur d'échappement pour turbine à gaz destiné à être inséré en aval d'un dernier étage de détente constitué d'une gaine de sortie de section circulaire comportant un bulbe central.
  • Les gaz des turbines à gaz quittent le dernier étage de détente avec une très grande vitesse. Il est nécessaire de réduire considérablement cette vitesse avant de rejeter les gaz à l'atmosphère de façon à assurer la fiabilité du matériel d'échappement en réduisant les sollicitations dues à l'écoulement, à favoriser les performances de la turbomachine en limitant la perte de charge de l'écoulement et à être capable de traiter convenablement le bruit émis par l'échappement de la turbomachine.
  • La maîtrise du problème de la diffusion de l'écoulement des gaz d'échappement est donc essentiel à la maîtrise technique des performances générales d'une turbine à gaz.
  • Le dimensionnement des gaines et des organes diffusants est également d'un impact économique non négligeable surtout lorsque les tailles des machines augmentent comme actuellement et la compacité des gaines d'échappement est un autre paramètre essentiel à la réalisation d'un système d'évacuation des gaz performant.
  • L'échappement des turbines à gaz se fait dans une gaine de section circulaire et la voie d'air s'en échappant, compte tenu du bulbe central est jusqu'à un certain point de section annulaire. La terminaison du bulbe central et donc de la section d'écoulement annulaire est la zone la plus critique de la diffusion. C'est en effet là que cette diffusion trouve ses limites et ses sources d'instabilité.
  • De façon générale, la sortie de cette gaine de section circulaire doit être reliée à une gaine de section carrée afin d'obtenir une gaine exploitable pour la mise en place de dispositifs silencieux et également obtenir une compacité globale des gaines. Cette transition limite la possibilité de diffuser correctement les gaz, de façon stable et avec des profils de vitesses homogènes.
  • La présente invention propose un diffuseur destiné à être intercalé entre la sortie de la gaine de section circulaire et l'entrée d'une gaine de section carrée de dispositifs silencieux par exemple qui résolve tout problème d'instabilité de l'écoulement.
  • Pour ce faire, conformément à l'invention, ce diffuseur comprend
    • une gaine de transition évasée, de section circulaire identique à celle de la gaine de sortie du dernier étage à son entrée et de section carrée à sa sortie,
    • quatre ailettes fixes disposées à l'intérieur desdites gaines et respectivement à proximité de chaque coin de la section carrée et dirigeant les gaz d'échappement vers les coins de la section carrée.
  • De préférence, chaque ailette est constituée d'une tôle en forme de quadrilatère à diagonales perpendiculaires pliée selon sa plus grande diagonale pour avoir une section transversale en V, l'ouverture du V étant tournée vers la paroi interne desdites gaines.
  • Avantageusement, la plus grande diagonale pliée est disposée inclinée, son extrémité en amont étant à proximité de l'extrémité du bulbe, distante de l'axe de symétrie de la gaine de transition d'une distance légèrement supérieure au rayon du bulbe, et son extrémité en aval étant disposée à proximité des coins de la section carrée.
  • Les fonctions et avantages de ces caractéristiques apparaîtront à la lecture de la description ci-après, où l'invention est décrite plus en détail à l'aide de dessins ne représentant qu'un mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention.
  • La figure 1 est une vue en perspective du diffuseur conforme à l'invention monté en aval d'un dernier étage de turbine à gaz, vu de l'aval de l'écoulement.
  • La figure 2 est une vue en perspective du diffuseur conforme à l'invention monté en aval d'un dernier étage de turbine à gaz, vu de l'amont de l'écoulement.
  • La figure 3 est une vue en coupe longitudinale du diffuseur conforme à l'invention monté sur un dernier étage de turbine à gaz, représentant l'écoulement des gaz.
  • Le diffuseur d'échappement pour turbine à gaz est inséré en aval d'un dernier étage de détente constitué d'une gaine 1 de section circulaire comportant un bulbe central 2, cylindrique de section diminuant à son extrémité.
  • Le diffuseur comprend
    • une gaine de transition 3 évasée, de section circulaire identique à celle de la gaine 1 du dernier étage à son entrée et de section carrée à sa sortie,
    • quatre ailettes 4 fixes disposées à l'intérieur desdites gaines 1,3 et respectivement à proximité de chaque coin de la section carrée et dirigeant les gaz d'échappement vers les coins de la section carrée.
  • Les gaines 1,3 sont renforcées de façon connue de raidisseurs 9 soudés sur leur paroi externe. Les ailettes 4 sont fixées de préférence par soudage de barrettes non représentées sur les figures 1 et 2 et référencées par le référence 10 sur la figure 3, soudées sur chaque ailette 4 et sur la paroi interne de la gaine de transition 3.
  • Chaque ailette 4 est constituée d'une tôle en forme de quadrilatère à diagonales perpendiculaires pliée selon sa plus grande diagonale 5 pour avoir une section transversale en V, l'ouverture du V étant tournée vers la paroi interne desdites gaines 1,3. La plus grande diagonale pliée 5 est disposée inclinée, son extrémité en amont 6 étant à proximité de l'extrémité du bulbe 2, distante de l'axe de symétrie 8 de la gaine de transition 3 d'une distance légèrement supérieure au rayon du bulbe 2, et son extrémité en aval 7 étant disposée à proximité des coins de la section carrée.
  • La diffusion des gaz qui en résulte est représentée sur la figure 3. L'écoulement en aval 11 est de section annulaire autour du bulbe 2. En arrivant au niveau de l'extrémité du bulbe 3, au lieu d'entrer dans une zone particulièrement instable, il est guidé par les ailettes 4 qui le diffuse de façon pratiquement parfaite sur toute la surface 12 de la section carrée de la gaine de transition 3, en le dirigeant en particulier dans les coins de celle-ci.
  • L'utilisation d'une gaine de section carrée tangente à la gaine de section circulaire 1 permet de ne pas accentuer la diffusion sur les axes verticaux et horizontaux.
  • Grâce aux ailettes 4, une partie du fluide énergétique et stable au niveau de l'extrémité du bulbe 2 est prélevée pour être dirigée vers les coins de diffusion maximale. Ces ailettes 4 déversent les gaz à la fois progressivement sur les côtés de la section carrée et injectent une partie de ceux-ci dans les coins de la section carrée, par l'intermédiaire de la gaine de transition 3.
  • La conception de ces ailettes 4 permet d'obtenir, quelques mètres en aval, la stabilité du fluide ralenti, ceci pour une plage assez grande d'angles d'incidence de l'écoulement sur elles, d'environ plus ou moins 30°.
  • De plus, aux points de fonctionnement les plus fréquents et aux points de design des installations avec turbines à gaz, ce diffuseur permet d'obtenir des répartitions de vitesses d'écoulement très bonnes, quelques mètres en aval, le rapport de la vitesse moyenne sur la vitesse théorique étant d'environ plus ou moins 30%.
  • Enfin, ce diffuseur n'engendre que peu de perte de charge, liée aux performances de la turbine à gaz, et permet, dans un encombrement minimal, d'obtenir un gain de performance très supérieur à cesdites pertes.

Claims (3)

1) Diffuseur d'échappement pour turbine à gaz destiné à être inséré en aval d'un dernier étage de détente constitué d'une gaine de sortie (1) de section circulaire comportant un bulbe central (2), caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend
- une gaine de transition (3) évasée, de section circulaire identique à celle de la gaine de sortie (1) du dernier étage à son entrée et de section carrée à sa sortie,
- quatre ailettes (4) fixes disposées à l'intérieur desdites gaines (1,3) et respectivement à proximité de chaque coin de la section carrée et dirigeant les gaz d'échappement vers les coins de la section carrée.
2) Diffuseur selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que chaque ailette (4) est constituée d'une tôle en forme de quadrilatère à diagonales perpendiculaires pliée selon sa plus grande diagonale (5) pour avoir une section transversale en V, l'ouverture du V étant tournée vers la paroi interne desdites gaines (1,3).
3) Diffuseur selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que la plus grande diagonale pliée (5) est disposée inclinée, son extrémité en amont (6) étant à proximité de l'extrémité du bulbe (2), distante de l'axe de symétrie (8) de la gaine de transition (3) d'une distance légèrement supérieure au rayon du bulbe (2), et son extrémité en aval (7) étant disposée à proximité des coins de la section carrée.
