Abstract
To feed cartridges to a firearm (13) from a drum magazine (10), a first conveyor device (27) is required in order to push the cartridges (11) arranged in several rows (19) out of the drum magazine (10) and a second conveyor device ( 30a) to feed the cartridges (11) ejected from the drum magazine (10) to the firearm (13). With high cadences, as are required with multi-barrel guns, difficulties arise when transferring the cartridges (11) from the first to the second conveying device (27, 30a) and when accelerating the cartridge rows (19) in the drum magazine (10). According to the invention, backstops (46, 61) are arranged between the two conveying devices (27, 30a) and the first conveying device (27) has a screw conveyor (30), the first turn of which has a smaller pitch than the other turns in order to accelerate the rows in the drum magazine (10) to facilitate stationary cartridges (11).
Description
The invention relates to a conveyor device for feeding cartridges to a firearm from a drum magazine, which is divided into a number of sectors, in each of which there is a row of cartridges, with a first conveyor device which pushes the rows of cartridges out of the sectors of the drum magazine and with one second conveyor for transporting the cartridges pushed out of the sectors to the firearm.
In a known conveyor device of this type (see DE-PS 1026201), the first conveyor device consists of an encircling, endless chain provided with drivers, which is in drive connection with the rotating drum magazine. From this first conveying device, the cartridges pass into a second conveying device, which is in drive connection with it, and consists of a conveyor disk, which in turn conveys the cartridges into the weapon.
This known conveying device is inconvenient, if the cartridges are to be taken above or from the side, the drum magazine, because then the risk that 'the cartridge into the empty sectors of the drum magazine zurückfallen.Ferner arise at high cadences difficulties in transferring the cartridges from the first conveyor into the second conveyor. In addition, in this known device, with high cadences, large acceleration forces are required in order to suddenly accelerate an entire row of cartridges from a standstill. Large acceleration forces are also required in order to transfer the. Cartridges from the first conveyor into the second conveyor, the cartridges to a much higher Förderge to accelerate speed.
The object that is to be achieved with the present invention is to create a conveyor device which ensures reliable transport of the cartridges from the drum magazine to the firearm even at high cadences. In particular, the transfer of the cartridges from the first conveyor to the second conveyor should function reliably without cartridges falling into the already empty sectors of the drum magazine. Furthermore, no great acceleration forces should occur when a row of cartridges is pushed out of a sector. Likewise, no great acceleration forces should occur when the cartridges are transferred from the first conveyor to the second conveyor.
The device with which this object is achieved is characterized in that a backstop is arranged between the two conveying devices and that the first conveying device has a screw conveyor, the first turn of which has a smaller pitch than the other turns.

According to Fig.l, the
According to FIG. 2 there is a so-called
According to FIG. 4, a
Each row of
According to FIG. 8, a
According to FIG. 9, the
As can be seen from FIG. 9, the
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIG. 10, the slide 61 (FIG. 9) is replaced by
