Abstract
Description
This Invention relates to a method for the thermal treatment of the precursor material a catalytic active mass in a rotary kiln through which a gas stream flows.
Under the term “catalytic Active mass " in this document solids are understood that are in chemical Reactions, e.g. in chemical gas phase reactions, in addition to the reactants are used to either carry out the chemical reaction to reduce required temperature and / or the selectivity to increase the target product formation. It runs the chemical reaction usually at the surface (interface) of the catalytic active mass.
Examples for such heterogeneously catalyzed reactions, which are in principle both in the liquid phase can also be carried out in the gas phase heterogeneously catalyzed hydrogenations, dehydrogenations and oxide hydrogenations, but also partial oxidations and partial ammoxidations. there can the active mass in powder form as well as geometric moldings shaped (the latter can be used, for example, by inserting (absorbing) into the inner surface a preformed support body (man then speaks of a supported catalyst), by applying it to the outer surface of a preformed carrier body (one speaks then by shell catalyst) or by pressing (one speaks then by full catalysts). The shape can be already the precursor mass or are first impressed on the catalytic active composition.
A complete oxidation of an organic compound (for example a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon, an alcohol or an aldehyde) is understood in this document to mean that the total carbon contained in the organic compound is converted into oxides of carbon (CO, CO 2 ).
All other reactions of organic compounds with oxygen (including the Oxydehydrogenations) are described in this document as partial oxidations considered. The partial ammoxidation differs from that partial oxidation due to the additional presence of ammonia.
It is now generally known that catalytic active materials already shaped or unshaped, usually available by placing one in usually not catalytically active or at most reduced active precursor mass generated, which may already be shaped or still unshaped, and this with increased Exposes temperature to a specific gas atmosphere.

Hordenöfen, Drehrohröfen, Bandcalzinierer, Wirbelbettöfen oder Schachtöfen durchgeführt werden.in principle can such thermal treatments in a wide variety of furnace types such as e.g. tray ovens, rotary kilns, Belt calciners, fluid bed furnaces or shaft furnaces carried out become.
Of It is of increasing importance (cf. WO 02/24620) that the total precursor mass to be treated thermally under possible uniform conditions is dealt with in order to get the most to obtain a uniformly procured total amount of active mass.
For example are as suitable as possible uniformly procured amounts of active mass better for heterogeneous Gas phase catalysts with high reactant loading of the active mass, since they have particularly uniform thermal reaction ratios over a Enable reactor cross section.
In front against this background WO 02/24620 recommends thermal treatment such precursors using a special belt calciner. adversely What is associated with a band calcination, however, is that it is at rest the precursor mass he follows. However, normally form within such a stationary bed Temperature gradients from that a uniform thermal treatment over the entire precursor mass to be treated thermally counteract.
In contrast, a thermal would be preferred Treatment of the precursor mass in moving bed, as is the case with thermal treatments in rotary kilns. Due to the constant movement of the precursor mass in rotary kilns, it forms a continuously self-homogenizing bed, within which, for example, there is no formation of so-called "hot points" or "cold points" (in most thermal treatments of precursor masses, exothermic or endothermic processes take place , which lead to the formation of so-called "hot points" (locations of maximum temperature within the thermally treated precursor mass or to the formation of so-called "cold points" (locations of minimum temperature within the thermally treated precursor mass). Both too high and too low However, temperatures affect the catalytic properties of the active composition.
On another point of view is that with the vast number of thermal Treatments of precursor masses thermal decomposition processes of chemical substances contained in the precursor mass Components go hand in hand, whereby gaseous decomposition products are formed, which is advantageous to the resulting active mass quality or can have an adverse effect. In both cases one would be Self-homogenization in moving bed advantageous.
Eine
thermische Behandlung von Aktivmassenvorläufermasse im Drehrohrofen wird
u.a. in den Schriften
Usually such a thermal treatment in a rotary kiln is on an industrial scale done so that the angle of inclination of the rotary tube to the horizontal on one value other than zero is set. The highest one The place of the rotary tube is the entry point of the precursor mass and the lowest point is the location of the material discharge. The rotary tube is operated continuously. That is, the thermal precursor mass to be treated is continuously fed to the rotary tube on one side, in Rotary tube continuously from the highest to the lowest Location transported and carried out there continuously. On the Learns way through the rotary tube the precursor mass usually thermal treatment.
Nachteilig ist, dass eine solche kontinuierliche Fahrweise nur vergleichsweise kurze Verweilzeiten des thermisch zu behandelnden Materialguts im Drehrohr zulässt.adversely is that such a continuous driving style is only comparative short dwell times of the material to be thermally treated in the rotary tube allows.
Stickstoff) bestehen.to Setting the desired one gas atmosphere usually becomes countercurrent to the funded precursor mass a corresponding gas flow is passed through the rotary tube. in the In the simplest case, this can be made of air, but in other cases et al also from valuable gases (e.g. reducing gases such as hydrogen or ammonia or inert gases such as e.g. Nitrogen).
A disadvantage of the procedure described is the comparatively high demand for gases which are not used after leaving the rotary tube. Another disadvantage is that in the context of can not continue to exert their beneficial effect formed in the material stock by thermal decomposition, low applied, gases are discharged with the gas stream, and (for example, of NH 4 + formed NH 3, or NO 3 - formed NO 2 , or formed from CO 3 2- CO 2 or CO). Such an advantageous effect can consist, for example, of a reducing effect.
The The desired temperature in the material in the rotary tube normally becomes generated indirectly by turning the rotary tube on from the outside certain temperature is brought.
Around pronounced in the rotary tube to avoid radial and axial temperature gradients, it would be desirable the one passed through the rotary tube Gas flow to the for the material in the rotary tube desired Preheated temperature into the rotary tube.
Usually would this Heat content of Gas flow when leaving the rotary tube in a disadvantageous way continue to be used.
The In view of this state, the object of the present invention was the technology therein, a process for the thermal treatment of the precursor material a catalytic active mass in a rotary tube furnace through which a gas stream flows disposal to face the disadvantages of the prior art methods largely remedies.
Accordingly was a process for the thermal treatment of the precursor mass a catalytic active mass in a rotary kiln through which a gas stream flows found, which is characterized in that at least a subset of the flowing through the rotary kiln Gas flow in a circle becomes.
The gas stream flowing through the rotary kiln can in the simplest case consist of air, but also contain valuable gases such as CO, CO 2 , NH 3 , N 2 , NO x , SO 2 or acetonitrile or consist of these gases. However, it can also contain a mixture of these gases or consist of such a mixture.
The gas flow flowing through the rotary kiln can be> 0 to 500 Nm 3 / h (or up to 300 Nm 3 / h in the case of pulverulent precursors) in the process according to the invention. Often the gas flow through the rotary kiln will be ≥ 50 to 500 (or 300) Nm 3 / h and usually 100 to 300 Nm 3 / h.
Im Folgenden soll die Ausgestaltung einer solchen aufgezeigt werden, ohne damit das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren oder die dazu verwendbaren Drehrohrofenvorrichtungen in irgendeiner Form zu beschränken.to exercise of the method according to the invention a suitable rotary kiln device is required. Hereinafter the design of such should be shown without the inventive method or the rotary kiln devices used therefor in any one Restrict shape.

It can e.g. 4000 mm long and an inner diameter of 700 mm exhibit. It can be made of stainless steel 1.4893 and have a wall thickness of 10 mm (of course, come for the inventive method also tube lengths up to 15 m, often up to 12 m; As a rule, the length of the rotary tube is inventive method ≥ 1 m, in the Rule ≥ 4 m are; the inside diameter is usually 20 cm to 2 m, often at 20 cm to 1 m).
In expedient way can so-called lifting lances attached to the inner wall of the rotary kiln his. They serve primarily the purpose, the precursor mass to be thermally treated in the rotary kiln (the material to be thermally treated) and so the To promote self-homogenization in moving fill. Relative to the others as an example mentioned dimensions of the example described suitable according to the invention Rotary tube device (which all relate to each other and in the embodiment the height can be applied the lances are 5 cm. In principle, a single Full length lance extend the rotary tube. Conveniently, one will However, only extend the lance to a part of the length of the rotary tube. In the exemplary design variant can they e.g. a length of 23.5 cm. In these cases, it is advantageous according to the invention if at the same height of the rotary kiln equidistant around the circumference (e.g. 90 ° each) several (one multiple) lifting lances (e.g. four = one quadruple) attached are. Along The rotary tube is advantageous in terms of application technology such multiple. There are in the exemplary embodiment variant along the Rotary tube eight such quadruples (each at a distance of 23.5 cm). The stroke lances of two neighboring multiples (quadruples) sit on The circumference of the rotary tube is preferably offset from one another. At the beginning and at the end of the rotary kiln (first and last 23.5 cm in the exemplary Configuration) there are advantageously no lifting lances.

The Angle of inclination of the rotary tube to the horizontal can be advantageous can be set variably. Typical range values are 0 ° to 4 ° or 2 °. In discontinuous In operation, it is actually 0 °. The deepest point is in continuous operation the rotary tube during material discharge.
The Material entry is advisable via a Cell rotary valve volume-controlled or mass-controlled using a scale carried out. The As already mentioned, material discharge is carried out via the direction of rotation of the rotary tube controlled.
Sie befindet sich dabei normalerweise ausschließlich im beheizten Teil des Drehrohres.at discontinuous operation of the rotary tube dimensioned as above (that for exercise of the method according to the invention, As already mentioned, also bigger or could be smaller) can thermally treat a material quantity of 200 to 600 kg become. It is usually only in the heated part of the rotary tube.
Around, as required according to the invention, at least a subset of the gas stream flowing through the rotary kiln lead in a circle to be able needed the rotary kiln device to be used according to the invention a circular line required for this (in the simplest case a pipe routing system). During this is set up statically, the rotary tube is necessary attached movably (rotation).
Teflonpressdichtungen). Wegen ihrer Hochtemperaturbeständigkeit sind Graphitpressdichtungen bevorzugt.To at the rotary tube inlet and at the rotary tube out If the stationary and rotating elements are connected to each other, either ball bearings or gaps can be used, which are sealed by graphite or Teflon rings (graphite or Teflon press seals). Because of their high temperature resistance, graphite press seals are preferred.
Conveniently, rejuvenated the rotary tube protrudes at its beginning and end into the feeding or leading away Pipe of the circular line into it.

The blocking effect is important, among other things, to prevent the gas atmosphere prevailing in the rotary tube itself, which often contains components that are not completely toxic (e.g. CO 2 , NO x , NH 3 , CO, SO 2 , acetonitrile) Static / rotating connection point does not get into the surrounding atmosphere.

On this way, a slight negative pressure can be set in the rotary tube become. That is, the pressure of the gas stream flowing through the rotary tube can be below the ambient pressure when leaving the rotary tube of the rotary tube. This measure also contributes to this at that from the gas atmosphere nothing comes out in the rotary tube. A slight overpressure can also be present in the rotary tube relative to the ambient pressure can be set. Frequently one gets the pressure immediately behind the exit of the gas stream from the rotary tube to a value in the range of +1.0 mbar above up to –1.2 mbar below the external pressure to adjust. That is, the pressure of the gas stream flowing through the rotary tube can be below the ambient pressure when leaving the rotary tube of the rotary tube. This is preferred according to the invention.

The Heating the material in the rotary tube is advantageously carried out according to the invention by Heating the rotary tube from the outside. Frequently one in the inventive method thermal treatment at a temperature of 100 to 1100 ° C, or 200 Carry out up to 800 ° C applies in particular to the case that the catalytic active composition is a multi-element oxide composition, e.g. is a multimetal oxide mass.
Besonders bevorzugt wird das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren im Fall einer Multielementoxidmasse als katalytische Aktivmasse entweder bei 600 bis 800°C oder bei 300 bis 600°C durchgeführt (vorgenannte Temperaturen meinen stets die Materialguttemperatur).Especially the method according to the invention is preferred in the case of a multielement oxide mass as a catalytic active mass either at 600 to 800 ° C or at 300 to 600 ° C carried out (The aforementioned temperatures always mean the material temperature).
All is generally the result of the method according to the invention receive a catalytic active composition.
The Temperature rate with which the precursor mass in the rotating tube is heated for the purpose of their thermal treatment, is included method according to the invention normally at values ≤ 10 ° C / min. The temperature rate is often ≤ 8 ° C / min, often ≤ 5 ° C / min or ≤ 3 ° C / min and it is often at values of ≤ 2 ° C / min or ≤ 1 ° C / min. In the However, this temperature rate usually becomes ≥ 0.1 ° C / min, usually ≥ 0.2 ° C / min and often ≥ 0.3 ° C / min or ≥ 0.4 ° C / min.
How already mentioned, goes with the thermal treatment of the precursor mass of a catalytic Active mass often an exothermic chemical reaction, in which components of the through the rotary tube Gas flow are involved.
For the method according to the invention it is essential that this chemical reaction is not uncontrolled runs, the heat released by the chemical reaction is rapidly dissipated, as an uncontrolled one Course of excessive heat development and uncontrolled temperature increase of the thermally treated Lead material goods can, which ultimately leads to a reduction in the active mass properties leads.

The Quick cooling allows e.g. at the end of the thermal treatment of the precursor mass, the temperature of the material inside the rotary kiln a period of ≤ 5 h, mostly ≤ 4 h, often ≤ 2 h, at least To lower 300 ° C. Mit diesen Sensoren werden häufig reduzierend wirkende Gasbestandteile wie NH3, CO, NO, N2O, Essigsäure, Aerosole (z.B. These sensors often determine reducing gas components such as NH 3 , CO, NO, N 2 O, acetic acid, aerosols (eg ammonium acetate) and oxidizing components such as NO 2 and O 2 , the content of which often has to be within particularly narrow limits.

The case of catalytic multimetal oxide active materials takes place at the transition from the precursor mass to the catalytic active composition in the context of the thermal according to the invention Treatment often a Oxygen absorption from the gas atmosphere in the rotary tube. through in front of the gas flow inlet into the rotary tube and behind the gas flow outlet Oxygen sensors attached to the rotary tube can absorb this oxygen quantitatively detected online and the oxygen supply in the rotary tube flowing through Gas flow can be adjusted accordingly (such an adjustment takes place not, usually the oxygen supply in the rotary tube supplied Gas flow kept essentially constant). Over- or underoxidation the active mass can be avoided and thus the catalyst performance improve. Completely the same can also be done with reducing gas components become.
The Circular gas operation according to the invention proves proves to be particularly advantageous in this context, if in the course of the thermal treatment the character of the im Rotary furnace prevailing gas atmosphere changed from "reducing" to "oxidizing" or vice versa becomes. Let them allow this change in a simple way perform, that the gas atmosphere always outside in the rotary tube of the explosion area.
Tests of the method according to the invention have frequently shown that the gas component sensors have displayed incorrect values.
Die alleinige Anwendung von vor den Sensoren angebrachten Filtern konnten diesem Problem nicht abhelfen, da sie in Abhängigkeit von der Zeit verstopfen und so die Meßergebnisse gleichfalls verfälschen.accurate Studies of this state of affairs have shown that this is due is due that the gas stream flowing through the rotary tube usually from the thermally treated precursor mass stemming Very fine dust with which is on the sensor surface (The sensors usually work in such a way that they come from the gas flow Suck in partial quantities) and falsify the measurements. The sole application of filters installed in front of the sensors could solve this problem not help as they are dependent clogged by time and thus also falsify the measurement results.

The production of such multi-element oxide materials is carried out as before said from sources suitable in a manner known per se (starting compounds) the elemental constituents of the desired multielement oxide active composition other than oxygen in the respective stoichiometric target aimed at in the multielement oxide active composition relationship and creates the most intimate, preferably finely divided, dry mixture, which then undergoes thermal treatment is subjected to the thermal treatment before or after the formation into (catalyst) shaped bodies of certain geometry can be done. According to the invention advantageous it occurs before that. The sources can either already be Act oxides, or such compounds that are caused by heating, at least in the presence of oxygen, can be converted into oxides. In addition to the oxides, the main starting compounds are therefore Halides, nitrates, formates, oxalates, acetates, carbonates or Hydroxides into consideration.
Sauerstoff haltige Quellen sind ebenfalls günstig.suitable The starting compounds of Mo, V, W and Nb are also their oxo compounds (Molybdate, Vanadate, Wolframate and Niobate) or those of these derived acids. Sources containing oxygen are also cheap.
The required content of ammonium ions in the intimate dry mixture can be achieved in a simple manner by incorporating a corresponding amount of ammonium ions into the intimate dry mixture. The ammonium ions can expediently be introduced into the intimate dry mixture, for example, by using the corresponding ammonium oxometalates as sources of the elements Mo, V, W or Nb. Examples include ammonium metaniobate, ammonium metavanadate, ammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate and ammonium paratungstate heptahydrate. Of course, ammonium suppliers such as NH 4 NO 3 , or NH 4 Cl, or ammonium acetate, or ammonium carbonate, or ammonium hydrogen carbonate, or NH 4 OH, or NH 4 CHO, can also be added to the intimate dry mixture to be thermally treated, regardless of the starting compounds required as sources of the multielement oxide active composition 2 , or ammonium oxalate can be incorporated.
The intimate mixing of the starting compounds can in principle be carried out in a dry state or done in wet form. If it is done in dry form, the Starting compounds expediently used as fine powder and after mixing e.g. to (catalyst) moldings more desired Compressed geometry (e.g. tableted), which is then the thermal according to the invention Treatment.
Usually the starting compounds are in the form of an aqueous solution and / or Suspension mixed together. Particularly intimate dry mixes are obtained in the described mixing process if only from in dissolved Form from existing sources and starting compounds is assumed. As a solvent water is preferred. Then the aqueous mass (Solution or suspension) and the intimate dry mixture thus obtained if necessary treated directly thermally. Preferably done the drying process by spray drying (the outlet temperatures are usually 100 to 150 ° C) and immediately following the completion of the aqueous solution or suspension. That included Powder can be formed immediately by pressing. Frequently however, it turns out to be one immediate processing as too fine, which is why it is with the addition of e.g. Water is appropriately kneaded. frequently When kneading, an addition of a lower organic carboxylic acid (e.g. Acetic acid) as advantageous (typical additional amounts are 5 to 10% by weight on powder mass used).
The modeling clay is then either the desired Geometry molded, dried and then subjected to thermal treatment (leads to so-called full catalysts) or only to strands molded, thermally treated and then ground to a powder (usually <80 μm) usually with the addition of a small amount of water and optionally more common Binder is applied as a moist mass to inert carrier bodies. To When the coating is finished, it is dried again and thus an operational shell catalyst receive. The intimate mixing of the starting compounds takes place in the form of e.g. aqueous solution, so can impregnated with the same, also inert porous carrier body, dried and then to supported catalysts thermally treated according to the invention become. Coating can be used in the production of coated catalysts the carrier body too prior to the thermal treatment, i.e. e.g. with the humidified spray powder, respectively.
Für Schalenkatalysatoren geeignete Trägermaterialien sind z.B. poröse oder unporöse Aluminiumoxide, Siliciumdioxid, Thoriumdioxid, Zirkondioxid, Siliciumcarbid oder Silikate wie Magnesium- oder Aluminiumsilicat (z.B. Steatit des Typs C 220 der Fa. CeramTec).For shell catalysts suitable carrier materials are e.g. porous or non-porous Aluminum oxides, silicon dioxide, thorium dioxide, zirconium dioxide, silicon carbide or silicates such as magnesium or aluminum silicate (e.g. steatite of the type C 220 from CeramTec).
The Carrier bodies can be shaped regularly or irregularly be, being regularly shaped Carrier body with clearly developed surface roughness, e.g. Balls or hollow cylinders with a split layer are preferred.
Suitable is the use of essentially non-porous, rough-surface, spherical supports Steatite (e.g. type C 220 steatite from CeramTec), their diameter 1 to 8 mm, preferably 4 to 5 mm. But that is also suitable Use of cylinders as support bodies, the Length 2 up to 10 mm and their outer diameter 4 to 10 mm. In the case of rings as a carrier body the wall thickness above usually at 1 to 4 mm. Ring-shaped carrier bodies to be used preferably have a length of 2 up to 6 mm, an outer diameter from 4 to 8 mm and a wall thickness from 1 to 2 mm. In the case of full catalysts, the shaping can, as already mentioned, also before or after performing the thermal treatment.
For example can from the powder form of the multielement oxide active composition obtainable according to the invention or their not yet thermally treated precursor mass (the intimate dry mixture) by compression to the desired one Catalyst geometry (e.g. by tableting, extruding or Extrusion) full catalysts are prepared, where appropriate Tools such as Graphite or stearic acid as a lubricant and / or molding aid and reinforcing agents such as microfibers made of glass, asbestos, silicon carbide or potassium titanate can be added. Suitable unsupported catalyst geometries are e.g. Solid cylinder or Hollow cylinder with an outer diameter and a length of 2 to 10 mm. In the case of the hollow cylinder, the wall thickness is 1 to 3 mm appropriate. Of course you can the full catalyst also have spherical geometry, the spherical diameter Can be 2 to 10 mm.
Of course they can relevant multielement oxide active materials also in powder form, i.e. not shaped into certain catalyst geometries, as catalysts for the heterogeneously catalyzed partial oxidation of acrolein to acrylic acid used (e.g. also in a fluidized bed).

The solid catalyst bed is located in the metal tubes (catalysts) of the tube bundle reactor and the temperature control media or media are conducted around the metal tubes (if there is more than one temperature zone, a corresponding number of spatially separated temperature control media is conducted around the metal tubes). The temperature control medium is usually a molten salt. The reaction mixture is passed through the catalyst tubes.
As Heat exchange means very cheap is the use of melting salts such as potassium nitrate, potassium nitrite, Sodium nitrite and / or sodium nitrate, or from low melting Metals such as sodium, mercury and alloys of various Metals.
Even though through suitable flow conditions in the tube bundle reactors In general, attempts are made to achieve that by looking at the reactor section the same salt bath temperature acts on each contact tube, can the existence of temperature gradients across the reactor cross section in in practice not entirely be avoided. If so now to the temperature gradients over the Distinct reactor cross-section Activity gradients across the individual contact tube feeds come, so this can Affect the safety of the operation of the tube bundle reactor, because the heat development due to the exothermic heterogeneously catalyzed fixed bed partial oxidation from acrolein to acrylic acid in the individual contact tubes of a tube bundle reactor in such a case would be significantly different. The latter because an increased activity the contact tube loading means that at the same temperature per Unit of time implemented more and thus more heat is developed.
The inventive method now allows regular loading of tube bundle reactors (with catalysts that act as catalytic active said Multielementoxidmassen, the at least one of the elements Nb and W and the elements Mo, V and optionally contain Cu) with 5,000 to 40,000 contact tubes, which is designed so that at one arbitrary picked sample of 12 contact tubes the difference between the arithmetic mean activity and the highest or lowest activity more than 8 ° C, frequently not more than 6 ° C, often not more than 4 ° C and cheap make is not more than 2 ° C.
Häufig beträgt die Anzahl dieser Ansätze 5 bis 40.Remarkable on the method according to the invention is that the above result is achieved even if the in Tube reactor total active mass contained in less than 100 or less than 75 or less than 50 approaches the thermal treatment of a precursor mass was produced. Frequently is the number of these approaches 5 to 40.
As Measure of the activity of the contact tube loading the temperature that the individual contact tube uses is used flowing around Salt bath (mixture of 53% by weight Potassium nitrate, 40% by weight sodium nitrite and 7% by weight sodium nitrate) must have thus with a single pass of a reaction gas mixture from 4.8 Vol.% Acrolein, 7 vol.% Oxygen, 10 vol.% Water vapor and 78.2% by volume nitrogen (when the catalyst feed is loaded with 85 Nl acrolein / l catalyst feed × h) through the loaded catalyst tube an acrolein conversion of 97 mol% is achieved (under "1 catalyst feed" the Volumes inside the catalyst tube not included where pure pre- or postfill are made of inert material, but only the bulk volumes, the shaped catalyst bodies (if necessary diluted with inert material) contain.
A as described achievable feeding of contact tubes in tube bundle reactors is especially important when the tube bundle reactor is loaded with acrolein in the catalyst feed operated ≥ 135 Nl / lh, or ≥ 150 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 160 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 170 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 180 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 200 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 220 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 240 Nl / l · h. Needless to say, is such a catalyst feed even with smaller acrolein loads advantageous.
In usually the acrolein load on the catalyst coating however ≤ 350 Nl / lh, or ≤ 300 Nl / lh, or ≤ 250 Nl / lh be.

Finally, it should be noted that With the method according to the invention, residence times of the thermally treated precursor mass in the rotary tube furnace of ≥ 5 h, or ≥ 10 h, or ≥ 15 h, or ≥ 20 h, or ≥ 25 h are possible. As a rule, this dwell time will be ≤ 50 h.
Ferner sei noch festgehalten, dass sich das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren vor allem auch zur Herstellung von Multielementoxidaktivmassen eignet, die die Elemente Mo, V, wenigstens eines der beiden Elemente Te und Sb, und wenigstens eines der Elemente aus der Gruppe umfassend Nb, Pb, Ta, W, Ti, Al, Zr, Cr, Mn, Ga, Fe, Ru, Co, Rh, Ni, Pd, Pt, La, Bi, B, Ce, Sn, Zn, Si, Na, Li, K, Mg, Ag, Au und In in Kombination enthalten.Further it should be noted that the inventive method especially suitable for the production of multi-element oxide active materials the elements Mo, V, at least one of the two elements Te and Sb, and at least one of the elements from the group comprising Nb, Pb, Ta, W, Ti, Al, Zr, Cr, Mn, Ga, Fe, Ru, Co, Rh, Ni, Pd, Pt, La, Bi, B, Ce, Sn, Zn, Si, Na, Li, K, Mg, Ag, Au and In in combination contain.

The thermal treatment is often carried out first at 150 to 350 ° C., preferably 250 to 350 ° C. under an oxidizing (oxygen-containing) atmosphere (for example air) and then at 350 to 1000 ° C., or 400 to 700 ° C. or 400 to 650 ° C with exclusion of oxygen (e.g. under N 2 ). The method according to the invention now also allows a regular loading of tube bundle reactors (with catalysts which, as the active composition, said catalytically active multi-element oxide compositions comprising the elements Mo, V, at least one of the two elements Te and Sb and at least one of the elements from the group comprising Nb, Ta etc. included in combination) with 5,000 to 40,000 contact tubes, which is designed so that, in the case of an arbitrarily selected sample of 12 contact tubes, the difference between the arithme table average activity and the highest or lowest activity is not more than 8 ° C, often not more than 6 ° C, often not more than 4 ° C and in favorable cases not more than 2 ° C.
Häufig beträgt die Anzahl dieser Ansätze 5 bis 40.Remarkable on the method according to the invention is that the above result is achieved even if the in the tube bundle reactor as a whole Active mass contained in less than 100 or less than 75 or less than 50 approaches to the thermal treatment of a precursor mass was produced. Frequently is the number of these approaches 5 to 40.
As Measure of the activity of the contact tube loading the temperature is used, which the individual Contact tube washing around Salt bath (mixture of 53% by weight potassium nitrate, 40% by weight sodium nitrite and 7 wt .-% sodium nitrate) must have, so with a single pass a reaction gas mixture of 4.8 vol.% acrolein, 7 vol.% oxygen, 10 vol.% Water vapor and 78.2 vol.% Nitrogen (with one load the catalyst feed with 85 Nl acrolein / l catalyst feed × h) the charged catalyst tube achieved an acrolein conversion of 97 mol% will (under “l Catalyst feed " the volumes inside the catalyst tube are not included, where there are pure prepayments and refills are made of inert material, but only the bulk volumes, the shaped catalyst bodies (if necessary diluted with inert material) contain.
A such feeding of contact tubes is particularly important if the tube bundle reactor operated with an acrolein load on the catalyst feed that is ≥ 135 Nl / lh, or ≥ 150 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 170 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 200 Nl / l · h, or ≥ 240 Nl / l · h. In the Usually it becomes ≤ 350 Nl / lh, or ≤ 300 Nl / lh or ≤ 250 Nl / lh be.

Spatially separated from this, 614 l of water were heated to 40 ° C. and 73 kg of ammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate (81.5% by weight of MoO 3 ) were stirred in while maintaining the 40 ° C. A clear solution 2 was obtained.
Die Lösung 2 wurde auf 80°C abgekühlt und anschließend die Lösung 1 in die Lösung 2 eingerührt. Das erhaltene Gemisch wurde mit 130 l einer 25gew.%-igen wässrigen NH3-Lösung versetzt, die eine Temperatur von 25°C aufwies. Unter Rühren entstand eine klare Lösung, die kurzzeitig eine Temperatur von 65°C und einen pH-Wert von 8,5 aufwies. Dieser wurden nochmals 20 l Wasser der Temperatur 25°C zugegeben. Danach stieg die Temperatur der resultierenden Lösung wieder auf 80°C an und diese wurde dann mit einem Sprühtrockner der Fa. Niro-Atomizer (Kopenhagen) vom Typ S-50-N/R sprühgetrocknet (Gaseintrittstemperatur: 350°C, Gasaustrittstemperatur: 110°C). Das Sprühpulver wies einen Partikeldurchmesser von 2 bis 50 μm auf. 60 kg von so erhaltenem Sprühpulver wurden in einen Kneter der Fa. AMK (Aachener Misch- und Knetmaschinen Fabrik) vom Typ VM 160 (Sigma Schaufeln) dosiert und unter Zusatz von 5,5 l Essigsäure (≈ 100gew.-%ig, Eisessig) und 5,2 l Wasser geknetet (Drehzahl der Schnecke: 20 Upm). Nach einer Knetdauer von 4 bis 5 Minuten wurden weitere 6,5 l Wasser zugegeben und der Knetprozess bis zum Ablauf von 30 Minuten fortgesetzt (Knettemperatur ca. 40 bis 50°C). Danach wurde das Knetgut in einen Extruder entleert und mittels des Extruders (Fa. Bonnot Company (Ohio), Typ: G 103-10/D7A-572K (6'' Extruder W Packer) zu Strängen (Länge: 1-10 cm; Durchmesser 6 mm) geformt. Die getrockneten Stränglinge bildeten die nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren thermisch zu behandelnde Vorläufermasse.Solution 2 was cooled to 80 ° C. and then solution 1 was stirred into solution 2. The resulting mixture was mixed with 130 l of a 25% by weight aqueous NH 3 solution which had a temperature of 25 ° C. With stirring, a clear solution was formed which briefly had a temperature of 65 ° C. and a pH of 8.5. This was another 20 l of water at 25 ° C added. The temperature of the resulting solution then rose again to 80 ° C. and this was then spray-dried with a spray dryer from Niro-Atomizer (Copenhagen), type S-50-N / R (gas inlet temperature: 350 ° C., gas outlet temperature: 110 ° C). The spray powder had a particle diameter of 2 to 50 μm. 60 kg of the spray powder obtained in this way were metered into a kneader from the company VMK (Aachener Misch- und Knetmaschinen Fabrik) of type VM 160 (Sigma blades) and with the addition of 5.5 l acetic acid (≈ 100% by weight, glacial acetic acid) and 5.2 l of water kneaded (speed of the screw: 20 rpm). After a kneading time of 4 to 5 minutes, a further 6.5 l of water were added and the kneading process was continued until 30 minutes had passed (kneading temperature approx. 40 to 50 ° C.). The kneaded material was then emptied into an extruder and strands (length: 1-10 cm; diameter) using the extruder (Bonnot Company (Ohio), type: G 103-10 / D7A-572K (6 '' extruder W Packer) The strands were dried on the belt dryer for 1 hour at a temperature of 120 ° C. - – die thermische Behandlung erfolgte diskontinuierlich mit einer Materialgutmenge von 300 kg, die wie wie in A) beschrieben hergestellt worden war;
- – der Neigungswinkel des Drehrohres zur Horizontalen betrug ≈ 0°;
- – das Drehrohr rotierte mit 1,5 Umdrehungen/min rechts herum;

Der Sperrgas-Stickstoff wurde mit einer Temperatur von 25°C zugeführt. Das Gemisch der anderen Gasströme wurde aus dem Erhitzer kommend jeweils mit der Temperatur ins Drehrohr geführt, die das Materialgut im Drehrohr jeweils aufwies. - – innerhalb von 10 h wurde die Materialguttemperatur von 25°C im wesentlichen linear auf 300°C erhitzt; anschließend wurde die Materialguttemperatur innerhalb von 2 h im wesentlichen linear auf 360°C erhitzt; nachfolgend wurde die Materialguttemperatur innerhalb von 7 h im wesentlichen linear auf 350°C gesenkt; dann wurde die Materialguttemperatur innerhalb von 2 h im wesentlichen linear auf 420°C erhöht und diese Materialguttemperatur während 30 min gehalten;
- – dann wurden im durch das Drehrohr geführten Gasstrom die 30 Nm3/h Luft durch eine entsprechende Erhöhung des Grundlast-Stickstoff ersetzt (wodurch der Vorgang der eigentlichen thermischen Behandlung beendet wurde), die Beheizung des Drehrohres abgeschaltet und das Materialgut durch Einschalten der Schnellkühlung des Drehrohres durch Ansaugen von Umgebungsluft innerhalb von 2 h auf eine unterhalb von 100°C liegende Temperatur und schließlich auf Umgebungstemperatur abgekühlt; der Gasstrom wurde dem Drehrohr dabei mit einer Temperatur von 25°C zugeführt;
- - The thermal treatment was carried out discontinuously with a material quantity of 300 kg, which had been produced as described in A);
- - The angle of inclination of the rotary tube to the horizontal was ≈ 0 °;
- - The rotary tube rotated clockwise at 1.5 revolutions / min;
- - During the entire thermal treatment, a gas flow of 205 Nm 3 / h was passed through the rotary tube, which (after displacement of the air originally contained) was composed as follows and at its outlet from the Rotary tube was supplemented by a further 25 Nm 3 / h barrier gas nitrogen: 80 Nm 3 / h composed of base load nitrogen (
20 ) and gases released in the rotary tube, 25 Nm 3 / h barrier gas nitrogen (11 ), 30 Nm 3 / h air (splitter (21 )); and 70 Nm 3 / h recirculated cycle gas (19 ). The sealing gas nitrogen was supplied at a temperature of 25 ° C. The mixture of the other gas streams coming from the heater was fed into the rotary tube at the temperature that the material had in the rotary tube. - - The material temperature was heated from 25 ° C to 300 ° C essentially linearly within 10 h; the material temperature was then heated essentially linearly to 360 ° C. in the course of 2 h; subsequently the material temperature was reduced substantially linearly to 350 ° C within 7 h; the material temperature was then increased substantially linearly to 420 ° C. in the course of 2 h and this material temperature was held for 30 min;
- - Then the 30 Nm 3 / h of air in the gas flow led through the rotary tube were replaced by a corresponding increase in the base load nitrogen (which ended the process of the actual thermal treatment), the heating of the rotary tube was switched off and the material was switched on by switching on the rapid cooling of the The rotary tube is cooled to a temperature below 100 ° C. within 2 h and finally to ambient temperature by sucking in ambient air; the gas stream was fed to the rotary tube at a temperature of 25 ° C;
- - During the entire thermal treatment, the pressure (immediately) behind the rotary tube outlet of the gas stream was 0.2 mbar below the external pressure.
Über die Gesamtdauer der reduktiven thermischen Behandlung arithmetisch gemittelt lag die Ammoniakkonzentration der Gasatmosphäre im Drehrohrofen bei 4 Vol.-%.The Oxygen content of the gas atmosphere in the rotary kiln in all phases of the thermal treatment 2.99 vol.%. about the total duration of the reductive thermal treatment arithmetic the ammonia concentration of the gas atmosphere in the rotary kiln was averaged at 4 vol.%.
