Abstract

背景技术
在US,B1,6594090中公开了这样的系统。这种系统的斑点减少装置包括例如利用电马达驱动的可移动扩散器(diffuser)。该扩散器减少激光束的相干性并因此减少否则在激光束入射在粗糙表面(例如,纸)上时出现的斑点假象。
然而,所述的系统由于在斑点减少装置中需要的附加的可移动机械部分而是相当复杂和昂贵的。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是提供仍然能够充分地减少恼人的斑点假象的不复杂的激光投影系统。
这个目的利用根据权利要求1的激光投影系统来实现。
更具体地,本发明涉及一种激光投影系统,其包括:用于生成激光束的激光源;用于将激光束投影到表面上的装置;和用于减少斑点假象的斑点减少装置,其中所述斑点减少装置包括透明单元(cell),其被安排在激光束的路径中,所述单元包括具有不同折射率的第一和第二不混溶的流体,以及控制装置,用于控制第一和第二流体在单元中的位置,以便在通过该单元传播时改变激光束的光学距离。
这个安排允许在时间上改变激光束的相干性而不必提供机械可移动部分,这提供能够充分减少斑点的不复杂且不昂贵的系统。这样的系统也将不比具有移动扩散器的系统更笨重,并且将消耗更低的功率。因此,可以实现小型、低功率系统。
优选地,控制装置基于电润湿(electrowetting)效应来控制第一和第二流体的位置。斑点减少装置因此可以包括电润湿透镜。不必使用这些透镜的偏转特性,只需要使用改变可以被良好限定的光学距离的能力。
电润湿透镜优选地被提供伪随机控制信号。这消除了斑点减少本身在图像中变成可见的风险。
优选地,路径长度改变多于λ/4,其中λ是由光源生成的光的波长。这对于减少斑点的视觉烦扰提供合适的变化(变型)。

具体实施方式
本发明涉及激光投影系统,该系统具有用于在时间上减少激光束的相干性以减少由该系统所生成的图像中的恼人斑点图案的装置。
斑点是在高度相干的光束(诸如,激光束)被具有随机表面特性的表面(诸如纸、织物或被喷漆的墙壁)散射时出现的现象。被散射的光的不同部分由于导致强度波峰和波谷的干涉而合计为强烈波动的光图像。
图1示意地示出了根据本发明实施例的激光投影系统1。
该系统包括用于生成激光束3的激光源2和用于将激光束投影到表面5上的投影装置4。
光源2可以是适合于照明的任意类型的激光器,诸如倍频Nd-YAG激光器、Argon-Ion激光器或激光器二极管。投影装置4可以例如包括可移动反射器,用于沿着预定的路径将激光束3投影到表面5上,从而产生包括例如文本的图像。在这种情况下,反射器优选地与快门(未示出)进行组合,以调制激光束。当然,可以使用许多其他类型的投影装置,诸如类似于普通电视设备的产生包括许多线行的图像的扫描投影装置以及包括液晶调制器的投影装置。总之,根据本发明,任意类型的投影装置是可以想象的,只要使用高度相干的光源并且需要减少斑点假象。
如图1所示,不认为其上被投影图像的表面5被包括在投影系统1中。表面5可以例如是建筑物的内墙或外墙、纸张或织物薄层等。
该激光投影系统还包括用于减少激光束3的相干性的斑点减少装置6、7,以减少斑点假象。斑点减少装置6、7包括透明单元6和用于在通过单元6传播时控制并改变激光束3的光学距离的装置7。
当光学距离改变时,光束的相干性不在空间上而在时间上被减少。这意味着:光的相位实质上随着时间而改变,但是光束在沿着其路径的任意点上是瞬时相干的。这提供对应于使投影表面5在其法线方向上振动的效应。
通过位移单元6中具有不同折射率的第一和第二流体来改变光学距离。通过这么做,可以使得激光束3通过具有最高折射率的流体传播的距离改变。优选地,使用公知的电润湿效应来实现该位移。现在将描述以这种方式提供的单元6的一个示例。
图2示出了处于第一状态中的电润湿透镜。该透镜构成形成斑点减少装置一部分的单元6。电润湿透镜本身是公知的,请参见WO,A1,03/069380。
该透镜包括管状侧壁部分10以及第一和第二透明端壁11、12,其一起限定圆柱形封闭空间。侧壁部分10的内部被电极层14(例如,金属层)覆盖。该电极层被疏水的、绝缘层15(例如,TeflonTM AF1600(DuPontTM))覆盖。
所述封闭空间利用第一流体A和第二流体B来填充,这两个流体是相互不混溶的且分别具有不同的折射率nA和nB。第一流体A是电绝缘的,例如,硅油和链烷。第二流体B是导电的和有极性的,例如,盐水溶液。优选地,第一和第二流体具有相等的密度。
在图2所示的状态中,在第二流体B和电极14之间施加低或零电压V1。该单元因此被松弛(relax)。在这个状态中,有极性的第二流体B将覆盖尽可能少的疏水层15,这意味着第一流体A和第二流体B之间的界面17将朝向左端壁11凸出。沿着中央路径19传播的激光束因此将通过第一流体A行进距离LA1和通过第二流体B行进距离LB1。因此,总的光学距离将是LA1*nA+LB1*nB。注意,在这个应用中不使用透镜的偏转特性。
图3示出了处于第二状态中的电润湿透镜。在这个状态中,在第二流体B和电极14之间施加第二、较高电压V2。在这个电路中只有非常小的泄漏电流将流动,这是因为疏水层15是绝缘的,但是所施加的电压现在迫使第二、导电的流体B覆盖疏水层15的更大部分。第一和第二流体之间的接触面17因而弯曲并开始朝向右端壁12凸出。因此,沿着中央路径19行进的激光束现在将通过第一流体A行进距离LA2和通过第二流体B行进距离LB2。现在,总的光学距离将是LA2*nA+LB2*nB
根据本发明的实施例,由控制单元7控制构成单元6的透镜,以便在图2的状态和图3的状态之间改变。光学距离差Δd因而将是(LA1*nA+LB1*nB)-(LA2*nA+LB2*nB)。当然,可以使用多于两个的状态或可以使得光学距离连续地改变。优选地,Δd应大于λ/4,其中λ是激光的波长。为了对于人眼是可见的,斑点图案必须恒定大约0.1秒以上。为了减少烦人的斑点图案,路径长度应该利用高于10Hz优选地高于50Hz的频率来改变。优选地,伪随机驱动信号用于控制光学距离。这避免相干性减少本身对于用户变得可见的风险。该驱动信号的振幅、频率和相位中的一个或多个可以具有随机特性。
总之,本发明涉及激光投影系统,该系统具有用于减少生成的激光束的相干性的装置,以减少由该系统生成的图像中烦人的斑点假象的发生。通过使激光束经过包括具有不同折射率的第一和第二不混溶流体的透明单元来减少相干性。这些流体优选地利用电润湿技术在该单元中被位移。因此,该单元可以实现为电润湿透镜,其利用伪随机驱动信号来驱动。
本发明并不限于所描述的实施例。本发明能够在所附的权利要求书的范围内以不同的方式来改变。

Claims (5)

1.一种激光投影系统,包括:
激光源(2),用于生成激光束(3);
用于将激光束(3)投影到表面上的装置(4);和
斑点减少装置,用于减少斑点假象,
其中所述斑点减少装置(6,7)包括:被安排在激光束(3)的路径中的透明单元(6),所述透明单元(6)包括具有不同折射率的第一不混溶流体(A)和第二不混溶流体(B);以及控制装置(7),用于控制第一不混溶流体(A)和第二不混溶流体(B)在该透明单元(6)中的位置,以便在通过该透明单元(6)传播时改变激光束(3)的光学距离。
2.根据权利要求1所述的激光投影系统,其中控制装置(7)基于电润湿效应来控制第一不混溶流体(A)和第二不混溶流体(B)的位置。
3.根据权利要求2所述的激光投影系统,其中斑点减少装置包括电润湿透镜。
4.根据权利要求3所述的激光投影系统,其中给电润湿透镜提供伪随机控制信号。
5.根据前述任一项权利要求所述的激光投影系统,其中所述光学距离改变大于λ/4,其中λ是由光源(2)生成的光的波长。
